I have completed the hand quilting on this quilt. It has been through the washer and dryer, and that is a great thing, because:
I was really wondering if the cotton, hand blanket stitched flowers would hold up in the washer and dryer. They were attached with steam-a-seam 2, so I was very much wondering if they would hold up.
And they did! So, I am very tickled about this method, and will use it again for other flowers and borders.

Double congratulations!! Once for this wonderful quilt. Well done! And twice for the double posting. You are busy, busy! Enjoy the new quilt. It looks perfect for summer. ;^)
I think there are a dozen Julies posting their progress on this blog because there is NO WAY one Julie could do all of these projects AND work 23 hour days 7 days a week!!! HAHA
What a beautiful quilt, Julie, and what an accomplishment to hand quilt it. I love how the pastels give it a summery appearance. (I know the fabrics probably aren't pastel but from the photos they look light and airy.)
It's a beauty! Is it a keeper?
This quilt really looks like a sweet breathe of fresh air! I am in awe that you managed to squeeze the hand quilting of it into your busy life. Sure puts me to shame!
Two posts from you in one day is a bonus! : )
Such a soft pretty quilt Julie and glad the flowers held for you
I love it! Congrats on the finish. Looks like quilts from the 30s which I love because they remind me of grandma!
What a sweet quilt! Love it!

This one is so pretty! Love how the quilt floats into the border area. The flowers are the perfect touch!
A very pretty quilt! I love the applique flower border, so glad it held up to washing etc.
Sew pretty! Applique isn't my thing and you seem so comfortable with it, I'm surprised to hear you nervous about it!
Lovely job. I've used Steam a seam 2 before, with nice results.
Your quilt has a vintage look. I am so glad you hand quilted it. Makes a person want to cuddle up with this one. Well done.
Hooray for the beautiful finish! I love that applique border!

Could you please tell me what size the finished blocks are? I would love to make one. Thanks so much.
