Folk Flowers!

I used the leftover black four patches from my sampler project to make the border on this little wall hanging.  Just need a little (lot?) of stitching to bring it to life!!
This is my Zinnia tub...they are coming on, now!!  For many years, we did not have bees in the backyard due to pesticide use in the neighborhood...but I have a bee hive, now, and I love to nurture them!!  So...a gift for the bees!!!

Hope each of you has a great weekend!!

Black and white makes all the difference to a quilt doesn't it? And I LOVE zinnias, such a lovely splash of colour. They are something that grows well here too, but mine are just finishing now.

Zinnias were always in my mom's garden - a hardy and pretty flower in many different colors. They make me happy. The American honey bee is struggling from pesticides and parasites. I wish more people would pay attention to their plight - our food source depends on their contribution.
