In my mind's eye...

I had it in my mind to make a blue (with yellow centers) log cabin quilt.  Well in poking around in the quilting stash, I found these blocks.
I just need one more to finish the quilt.

Have you ever done that?  I had completely forgotten about these blocks!!!  They are made with variable widths of fabric strips.

Beautiful! And I see Miss Rosie is posing for us, too!

I have to admit I have done something similar. Needed more than one block to get a quilt top out of the blocks, though!

Love the blue/white log cabins.
Every now and then I unearth a project that had completely slipped my mind. Sometimes I am thrilled and other times I wish they had stayed buried. :)

Too funny. Maybe if I think about a quilt I want to make it will magically appear in my closet!! Love the log cabin

Whoops!! What a lucky find. Just THINK of all the time you saved (by having "Past Julie" sew almost all the blocks for you!!)

I have definitely found unforgotten projects at the bottom of a storage container but never one I was wanting to make again! What a fabulous find!

WHAAAAATT? Someone did an awesome log cabin quilt and left it in your drawers somewhere? That's insane! Never happened to me! (lol) That's one quick quilt. It looks wonderful already. Enjoy! ;^)

Oh, yes! And I think, as scrap quilters, it’s easy to do! We had a 4 day power outage as a result of Dorian. I used the daytime hours to dig through bins. It was amazing what I found!

Wow! I forget about projects all the time. maybe that's another reason I have so many UFO's! The blue and yellow looks great! Kind of Wintery!

Beautiful quilt! I do find half finished, forgotten projects every now and then.... I also sometimes can't find finished quilts, they seem to disappear into black holes (closets)!
