Making tracks with super fun scraps!!

Hi everyone!  I am super excited to announce that all the blocks are completed and sewn together for my latest scrap quilt!!  and the first border is on...so I just need an outside border and I am done, done, done!!!
Here she is...scrappy all the way, pretty much.  I bought the scrap bag of fabric strips and pieces at a now closed quilt shop, for $5.00.  And then I cut this quilt out and I have let it languish (age) a good while.  So I am so tickled to get this quilt to this point.
I made a few errors on the way...hahaha!!!See above?  And below?

This one too? So my seam ripper was smoking today!  LOL!!  At last it is in one piece, so I am just on the hunt for an outside border.  I have almost all scraps in my stash, and no big pieces will fit the bill....so far.

This quilt is a duplicate of a smaller quilt I made years ago, from a Shar Jorgenson pattern.

Have a great day, each of you!!!!

It makes my heart sing to see other accomplished quilters make the same goofs I do! Pretty quilt, BTW.

what's a quilt without a few bloopers for memories, lol. I love this pattern and it's just as pretty in a bigger size quilt. Very well, Julie. Enjoy the hunt for the border fabric. ;^)

Can you share the quilt pattern? I MAY have it, and have seen it before, but I can’t remember what it is! Great recovery with the seam ripper😉😉. I have a recent top finish which had THREE mistakes in it that I didn’t see until I took it for Show and Tell to my small group. THEY all saw what I did NOT see😳😳😳. Still have to fix those errors before I add the final border.

It is beautiful! Don't worry about a little goof. I made a big goof on my last label, last line, but it i what it i; I'm not replacing that label! ---"Love"

I absolutely love this! What a cheerful quilt. Seeing this makes me want to make one - just so fun.
Your mistakes made me smile. I am big stitching a quilt right now and it appears that my moving blocks around to get the right distribution of color didn't apply to the blocks with the measuring tape fabric in it. I have three right in a row. It will have to do because I'm not rearranging them now.
Your quilt is just so sweet.

That's a great job! Love that little pattern.
Can't believe you made all that from one person's bag of scraps... you did well!
Mistake? I couldn't see it!
thanks for sharing!

Oh, what a charmer! I love the way the stars spill into that first border. Why not just slap a piano key border on this? I know it is extra work, but I think it would look great. So I will encourage you to do it, even though it would be more work than I would want to do. LOL

An absolute glorious finish! I’ve just completed a very long term scrap quilt and I know that feeling! I’m still flying high and feeling inspiration as a result. XO

Nice quilt. Sorry for the ripping, but that goes with the territory at times.

Comments!

A large tree fell over with a mighty crash, half a block from our home.  We are all grateful that it fell toward the street!  If you can zoo...
