Churn dash progress, and circle of friends!

Good morning to all!!!  Above are my churn dash blocks.  Progress is being made!  I have other blocks cut out, but I am out of background, so I will look for something similar in my stash.

I appliqued nine more Wagon wheel blocks.  Some of them look like the wagon wheel hit a rut...lol!!!

Throwing a wheel back in the Covered wagon days was disastrous.  Glad that my folk-art quilt is not that serious.

I finished the applique on this tiny tumbler quilt.  Next up is the hand quilting part.  Love that!

Remember, all you log cabin lunatics?  Remember these blocks?  I made substantial progress on these blocks!  Yahoo!!!  Quite labor intensive, using 1-inch strips.  I think this is the LAST quilt I make from one-inch strips, LOL!!!  Even though I love it!  Maybe I will use them all up???

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS:

If you need a specific fabric or scrap or something for a current project...just leave a note in the comments.  I will publish your email address on a blog post...and if friends have something that would help you?  They can email you and you can arrange to get it to you!!  It is working very well!!  For example, if you need 2 inch wide green strips...or orange stripes...or brown plaids...maybe someone can help you, and we can all share what we have with others!!   Just for fun!

Julie

Have a super day!

Yes, we all have something to be thankful for that our quilting does not usually end up in disaster, no matter how imperfect our stitches! Enjoying your wagon wheels so much. I'm always a sucker for the circle patterns it seems.:)

I have followed you for many years and I was a log cabin lunatic! You have inspired me to see how different they all can be. Thank you for your positive blog posts always sharing the good job you do with scraps and quilting. Kathy

I sent orange fabrics to Debra on Monday. She agreed to cut them into the size she needs. Hope they arrive, it’s a long way from Canada to Louisiana!

Look at you go on the Churn Dash blocks!! I finished cutting all mine today, but I haven't made that many.
I can't see the broken wheels. They all look good from here!
Love your little tumbler with the pretty appliquéd border. Just beautiful!
Making big quilts with narrow strips is a very long term project. I hear you.

You are really dashing through your Churn Dash blocks. They look great as well, as the wagon wheels blocks. You're rolling along. (Sorry couldn't help it)

Wow, finishing at half an inch! Yikes! The narrowest strips I'll work with are 1 and a half. I've got log cabin blocks done in that width but my seam allowances vary. Lots yet to learn!

As always, a stop on your blog means inspiration! While churn dash blocks have always been a favorite, I’m just loving those wagon wheels! XO
