Scraps are so much fun!!

In-between making pieces and parts for the Quiltville Mystery quilt, I pulled out some plaids and started piecing Log Cabin blocks.  These are just so much fun for me!

I have had a squirrel nibbling at my brain for a little while, and I decided to make some of these blocks.  I think they are great fun too.  Corn and beans blocks; a public domain pattern.  Scraps make me so, so happy, especially gifted scraps!!  Why are new to me fabrics just so much fun?

I finished the applique on this little quilt.  Just describes the week, don't you think so?

Have a great day, each of you!

Girl, how do you get so much done??? That log cabin is wonderful, and I LOVE the snowman wallhanging. Did you make it up on your own? Or is there a pattern out there somewhere? You are so talented, Julie. I am in awesome of you, girlfriend!!

Love your log cabin in brown. Do you already have enough blocks for a quilt size? Corn and Beans look like a cheerful quilt in the making. But that snowman is the top! I love it so much. Too cute! We had a very green Holiday Season this year. The greenest I can recall. :^( So seeing your snowman makes me very happy. All the best in the New Year. ;^)

What a cheerful and inspirational trio -- a cozy log cabin, a brisk north wind, and a sturdy snowman. Good start to 2024!

Oh, Julie, I haven't been at my computer much lately and see I have missed several posts! I read back through a few, but figured I better hurry and leave a comment or two before I am out of time.
Your plaid log cabin just warms my heart! So cozy and homey looking. Well done!
I have always loved the corn and beans block, but have never actually attempted making even one. Yours are wonderful in those scraps!
