Many quilters are mandated to stay at home these days, on quarantine through their state and local governments. Some quilters are making little houses, reminiscent of these days of staying at home. So I did too! But I just made a small quilt, because I want this to be over fast! The roofs are all plaids, and the houses are a solid color. The doors and chimneys (appliqued) are whatever scraps that were on the cutting table at the moment! I don't have border selected yet, because that is hardest part of everything for me. The skies are all blue though...we want blue skies and summer heat to burn off this virus!!! This quilt need a sun on it, too...I am thinking about that.
Have a great day, all of you! Stay well...please let me know if any of you contract the virus or any of your friends and family!

Its a cute little quilt. I am making a house quilt as well - one for each day that I have been staying home. I have 2 made. Not sure how I will set the quilt, have to wait until I see how many I have. I am calling mine Coronaville.
Cute little houses with the best roofs ever...plaid :-)
I was so glad to see your post this morning. I hope you were able to refresh a bit yesterday after your work days. Prayers and hugs ((( )))
Great idea to document our quarantine days. Blue skies and sunshine do help to keep that positive attitude.
Such a cute quilt! I'm going to make one too although I'm not stuck at home.
I found out yesterday a friend's brother has died from the virus. From diagnosis to death- 1 week. He lived in New York. I'm not sure if he had underlying health issues. Unbelievably sad.
The plaid roofs are very effective! Home stay, stay at home, home sweet home, hmmm variations on a theme? I hope you got some rest from your stress! take care!
I am--as he is--pretty sure my son-age 44 had the virus 2 weeks or so ago--when I talked to him by 'text' last week end he said he was ok, but still had a bit of a cough now and then--his boss also had it the week before and ended up in the ER 2 times--he is better now also and is older than my son--
stay safe, luv, di
Our little group is still making masks. I saw on the news last night that Grapevine PD was asking for masks so we decided to check with NRH. They said they were good but would keep them handy for seniors or others in need.
It’s adorable! Yes, you definitely need a sun. I’ve been making masks like a wild woman: since Friday, I’ve made over 50 for friends, family, and church members. I’m ready for a new project.
What a fun way to remember, when we wish we could forget, this year of 2020 and all we are enduring! ---"Love"
What a cute quilt for this hard time.
the corner stones are such a charming touch.
Such a good idea! Stay safe!
Too cute! and small ... for fast... I love that the best!
Covid Cottages--how cute! Do you label the quilts you keep for yourself?
Oh how interesting that you used fabric from your scrubs to utilize in your Corona House piece. I read your nurse's notes. They give insight into the hospital situation from a point of view that those of us sitting home don't experience. I was wondering about pregnant hospital workers and you have answered that. I hope that you and your co-workers stay healthy and safe. You are working in very stressful conditions.
