Below is my first attempt, which I thought would be wool, but I thought given the large size of the block, that perhaps the wool might feel clunky and chunky and not flow well. So I restarted and made the cotton version of the block, above. I am making a pillow of the wool start.

I enjoyed seeing Karen's start on her blog this morning. Didn't catch that you were the one joining her. This really is a lovely quilt. It will be fun to see it grow. It thing the cotton will be lovely though your wool block looks nice too.

I felt the same as you about using wool. Plus there are some big pieces and wool is expensive. Now onto the second block for next month! I am glad you are joining me on the adventure.
