Playing with the plaids!

Good afternoon everyone!  I have been playing with the plaid blocks...trying to figure out a border!!  I am liking the pink, it is girlie, like the hearts...just trying to figure out if I like the flying geese.  One thing is for sure, I love making them, and I get bonus half square triangles!  whoohoo!!!

Have a great day!!

My first reaction when I saw the geese as a border was that it made a very classic looking quilt. If you love making them, why not? : )

Yummy - loved these churn dash blocks before - now the pink plaid really gives them an unexpected twist - and the geese makes the whole quilt grow up - super job

This makes me happy!!!! Pink is second only to Cheddar in my book except when using plaids then Cheddar isn't even on the list. lol. :)

Looks great, flying geese fit in with everything! ....bonus half square triangles, hmm does that mean there will be a second pieced border?!

This is turning into a spectacular quilt. I'm not very good at making flying geese, but if you find them easy, then why not make the border from them. I love the pink inner border.

What a wonderful quilt!! When I piece borders (not that often) I like to mimic some element in the block.
I'm sure whatever you chose will be wonderful!

I love all of the quilts you do! You should seriously consider doing a book! You are extremely talented when it comes to making up patterns of your own :)

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
