Carolina Crossroads Curtain Call!

Hi everyone!

I made so many extra parts and pieces when I was piecing Bonnie's mystery quilt, I just had to make something with them. so...I made a table runner! and you will recognize some of the units from the CC mystery quilt. I used the "puss in the corner" nine patches for the corners, and the strip-pieced blocks for the bulk of the table runner. Kind of early for red, white and blue...but maybe not!! I hand quilted it.

I finished quilting my other strip pieced quilt, and did the worst binding job of my life!! I don't know what went wrong, but don't focus too closely on those corners!! hehehe, no quilt police here, I bet!

Well, I am off tomarrow to the hospital for surgery...I am pretty apprehensive, and would appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers during this time. Being on the nurse side of things, I know what can go wrong, and I pray it is all smooth as silk...or polished cotton quilt fabric!! Being the patient is kind of tough...but probably a great lesson for me!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day, and I will be eagerly waiting to get home from the hospital and read all the great things you all are up to!

Julie

Remember to ASK for help. Please don't think that you need to do things on your own during your recovery. I know. I have a Sis and a Mom who are and were in the nursing field.

Lovely lovely leftovers!!! Well done, Julie.

My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Wishing all the best for your surgery.

Dare I say it? I like the table runner almost better than the CC quilt, altho i do like the quilt.

Your table runner is so cute. I didn't make any extra's at all. I even had to make an additional step 2 block to send to Bonnie.
