Quilting along! and Plaids truly are the best thing ever devised by mankind!! or close...

www.humblequilts.blogspot.com

I am catching up Lori's quilt along! It was a whim that started this, and a whirlwind that finished the center.  I am so delighted with it!!!  I truly enjoy working with plaids...part Scottish, ye understand!  Plaids from a friend made this all the sweeter.

I changed the house block.  The original one had templates and set in pieces, and I decided to sew a bit simpler one.  I also changed the bottom left block.  I sewed this mostly in the middle of the night, and could not get in the quilt closet for fabrics, (did not want to wake anyone!), so I used strips and pieces that I had already cut.  It was fun to make do with what I had on hand.

It feels so great to so engaged in a project!

I would like to donate this to the hospice unit, but then got to thinking...would this be OK to give to them for our waiting room?  Does anyone really feel welcome in that unit?  Or it just a sad part of life to get through for these visitors?  Or should it be more professional and less scrappy than this?

Anyway...

On to the borders!

I love the quilt, beautiful! It would look great in a waiting room, or just any room in a hospice I think.

This is such a fun quilt! I love the random placements and YES! plaids (heart emoji)!!! Plaids make everything better. :-) I finally sewed again this week! it has been 2 years. The cats still have my sewing room so I set up another spot to sew upstairs and have a new short afternoon habit. I'm finishing the sawtooth cat quilt (with lots of plaids :-) that I was working on back in 2020.
I hope your Thanksgiving is tasty and full of a grateful heart. Hugs!!!

The plaids do give the quilt a cozy feel and will be a treasure for those in the waiting room. I love how you chose to use strips and pieces so you wouldn't wake anyone up. That's part of the challenge and joy of sewing late into the night. Warm Thanksgiving greetings to you.

I concur!!! plaids are amazing!! I love how your quilt is coming together... so many pretty plaids. And I am with you on the thoughts of hospice... I think tho - that the thought that you want to comfort that person may outweigh the thoughts of being welcome to a unit they really don't want to be a part of ( hope that makes sense... I'm still full of pumpkin pie)

I'm Paula from Colorado, I have been blogging for a while now, and today I felt like I should share my story because I was a victim too. I had endometriosis and herpes virus for 18 years and I never thought I would ever get a cure due to the terrible symptoms I had and this made it impossible for me to get pregnant even after 12 years of marriage, and it was a serious issue. Furthermore, I got to know about Dr. Itua on a Blog Site who treated someone and the person shared a story of how she got a cure and gave her contact details, I contacted Dr. Itua, and he actually confirmed it and I decided to give it a try too and use his herbal medicine. That was how my burden ended completely. My son will be 2 this December, and I am grateful to God and thankful to his medicine too.Dr Itua Can As Well Cure The Following Disease… Cancer, HIV, Herpes, Hepatitis B, Liver Inflammatory, Diabetes, Fibroid, Get Your Ex Back,  If you have (A just reach his on (drituaherbalcenter@gmail.com or order herbs from his herbs store https://drituaherbalcenter.com/shop/)He can also advise you on how to handle some marital issues. He's a good man.

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
