Turning Twenty Monday!!

Turning Twenty, Block number three!!!  I love this one...I am making my quilt out of all scrappy red, white and blues.  Loving these patterns!!  Thank you, Tricia and all the ladies at Turning Twenty!!

A lot of times, I will make a little something out of little pieces of a current project.  This is what I made out of the same fabrics I used for the Turning Twenty block from this week.  It is 6 inches finished...just a mug rug...but a FINISH! That's my story, and I am stickin' to it!!

I am working on another Bonnie Hunter quilt...but also?  I am starting in on a house cleaning and purging adventure! At least that is what I am calling it...I want 1/2 of my possessions gone.  It will take a while, but I think I can do it...and I want the room to enjoy life and just have space!!  Wish me luck...I guess I am at that age, huh???

Have a great day, everyone!!

These are pretty blocks. I am seeing a red white and blue quilt in my future too. Good luck in your purging. I am working on that too.

Lovely R/W/B creations, Julie.
Half your stuff gone? Wow! Let me know how that goes. I need the inspiration!

Pretty blocks! We must be the same age- I am making scrap quilt after scrap quilt and moving things OUT too!

WOW!!! Half your stuff?! That's pretty extreme! But we could probably all do with only 1/2 of what we have. I'm sure I could do that but not sure I wanna! :-)

Does that 50% include fabric and sewing machines? I hope not...

Good Luck with the purging of your stash. I started to donate some of my fabrics, but I have
a long way to go. Thanks for sharing.

Nice little block and finish, love your color choices. They go perfectly together. Always prett blue, red and white.
Tossing out 1/2 of the stuff ....oh my, I would not even know where to start.
I guess going through my clothes would help a little.
Greetings,
Sylvia

Must be something in blogland, everywhere I read, people are cleaning out and tidying up. Me too, so maybe we get to a certain age and realise we really dont need it all, and will never live long enough to use it all either??

Your mug rug is a sweetie! I'm sure that I own too much stuff, including a yard of that indigo blue fabric that you're using. Wait, that's not too much, LOL! Good luck with your paring down.

Keep all of your quilting stuff and get rid of everything else!

I love thé blocks you made, nice and bright! And good luck on the uncluttering part of your house. I'm in the middle of this adventure (moving to another smaller house) and the more I throw out, the easier it gets.

I love this block, too, especially in the colors that you used.

Between my dad and my FIL and now my mom, we're overflowing with stuff! It's sentimental, but more than ever I realize we come into the world with nothing, we leave with nothing. Its not the STUFF that matters. (but it does jumble the brain!) lol Good luck decluttering.

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
