Betsy's nine patch

HI everyone!! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! Remember the nine patch exchange? Well, I am really trying to finish all those nine patches into finished quilts. Betsy Chutchian recently wrote a quilting book, "Gone to Texas", featuring her quilts inspired by her Great, great grandmother's quilts. Betsy happens to work at our local quilt shop, and I have seen her original quilt...and it is gorgeous! Her fantastic quilt is a nine patch, with 6 inch blocks! Well....I just happen to have some of those, LOL!! So, I am making a very scrappy looking quilt. All the pieces are cut...just need the sewing time!!!

Have a super day!!

Lookin' good! I bet it'll be fabulous when it's done. I have a couple designs in my head for my nine patches. Now I just need to find the time to sit down with them.

I have that book, and I LOVE it!!!!! I am planning on making Kristine one of the quilts from it- I just can't decide which one... She's leaving for Dallas next Sunday to spend two months with her Daddy and Mutti.
Your quilt will be gorgeous!

I like the traditional look of nine patches. Very sweet! FYI - I'm having a give away over at Quilt Talk, so please stop by. :)

Oh Wow! I make 9-patches in all kinds of sizes, compulsively. I tell myself I am using up scraps but I think I just like them. What I have never been wild about is all-over-9-patch designs. Now I have a new plan. Thank You!

Love those 9 patches. I am still using mine but almost used up. I have had so much fun making cute table toppers and doll quilts with them. We have you to thank for the wonderful exchange and organizing the swap for all of your followers.

Now another inspiring quilt is about to happen with your patches!

Thanks for sharing, Carolyn

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
