HI all:
First and foremost, I want to thank all of you for your prayers and thoughts during this time, while dear husband has been in the hospital. After my last post, I got a call in the middle of that night to return to the hospital where he had a heart rate in the 30's and blood pressure very low, and he had stopped kidney function. He went to ICU after recovery room, not his regular room, and he has remained in intensive care. We got his blood pressure improved with Levophed and IV fluids(his weight is up 20 pounds), and guess what? They sent him home late today. So I am so grateful, now we are just worrying about all the excess fluid and wondering about getting some cautious diuretics to get it off without dumping his BP down low again. So that is where we are! But he is here, he is OK, and my heart is rejoicing for that!!!
Again, my thanks to you!!!
Julie

Oh, my goodness...what a SCARE (and how fast hospitals send folks home nowadays after serious post-op complications)!!!! I hope this is the last of any scary moments for you and his recovery from this point onward is swift and smooth!
Wow, you must be exhausted after all of that. Glad to hear he is doing better.
I am still praying--but I know he will get better care at home with you than in the hospital--so enjoy him!!!! and all the work!!!!
Hugs, Di
I'm so glad he's home with you and that you can care for him! You can put your training to use on him!! I'm glad you know what to look for to keep him safe! Best wishes to him for a quick recovery :)

I know he could not have a better person looking after him, but honestly, why are hospital & insurance companies so focused on the $$$$. I hope he recovers without any further complications, still thinking of you both.
How frightening!
I know you will keep a watchful eye on his fluid and blood pressure.
Here's to a speedy recovery.
So happy he is doing better and home...our prayers have been answered.
Amen to being home! Hope the water levels and blood pressure regulate.
Whoa! Was not expecting that! So glad he is able to be home with you. Take it slow and we will all keep you in our thoughts and prayers. I'm glad he has you to keep an eye on him. I hope there is a steady recovery forward.
Oh, my goodness...what a scarey time for you..so glad he's home , best wishes for a quick recovery.
Julia ♥
What a scary time you've had. It's a good thing that you're a nurse and know what's going on... hope he'll be up and about before too long... and hope you don't end up too exhausted! I'll be praying for you!
Oh that must have been so scary! So glad he's home and doing better. I will continue to keep you both in my prayers :)
I am thinking of you both and hope your husband continues to improve...I find it unbelievable that patients are sent home so soon after being in ICU.....! Take care of yourself....and I hope hubby's recovery is fast (and without any further drama)..!
Glad to hear your DH is home with
you!
I'm still praying for a good recovery!! Hope his fluid-level come back to normal.
Take care! Lots of love from the Netherlands!!
Hello Julie, I am thankful hubby is now home....take care both of you...hugs lyn
Hang in there, both of you! How scary. Praying that the rough edges smooth over, and that he regains his health quickly.
{{{{hugs}}}}
It sounds like your past the scary part and that must have been very traumatic for you. I'm so glad that he's able to recover at home. I'll still keep you in my thoughts.
Hang in there Julie. I hope things continue to get better. And that you get some rest and you time.
How horrible to get a call in the middle of the night like that. I am glad he is well enough to be home now. Lucky you are a nurse and will know if something is wrong. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing from now on till full recovery.
Still here thinking of you and yours....
OMG!! I missed your last post. I am so sorry to hear that all of this happened. But so glad that he is home. I just can't imagine how you both felt. I am sending many good thoughts and prayers your way for a quick and successful recovery!
How wonderful to have him home where you can keep a watch over him.
You both must be so relieved he's home!! I hope he continues to improve.
Sooo Happy to hear... BIG HUGS!!!!! Pheew...
Good to hear that things are on the upswing - I can just imagine the rollercoaster you've been on. You will both remain in my thoughts . . . . and remember, when he's resting - so should you *s*
SO glad to hear your husband is doing better... will keep him in my prayers!

Hugs to you and still praying!
I am just reading of your scare...oh Julie... I will most certainly have you both in my prayers, as of now! I wish I had come by sooner, bless you hearts!!
I know your DH will have the best Nurse ever with you taking care of him!
Hope the drama is completely over now and that you're both getting some rest. He'll probably start peeing the extra pounds off now that his body is getting back to normal. You probably have him sleeping in a recliner anyway, so his breathing will be okay.
Take care of yourself, too!
The early release of your dear hubby hopefully signals a good outcome is expected--of course, you being a nurse is maybe a factor! Hope he continues to improve rapidly and your minds and hearts are at ease very soon.
Hope things continue to be ok for him. I"ll keep him in my prayers.
My goodness, Julie, you, your husband and the rest of your family have really been thru the wringer in the past few days. Anxious moments indeed.
Hope it is smooth sailing from here on out.
Oh my goodness, what a difficult time you've been through. I hope he will get stronger and healthier every day.
Hope everything is still Ok and best wishes for a speedy recovery. hugs
I am behind in my blog reading so I am reading this first. I am so glad he is home with you and that you are a nurse. I hope he recovers quickly. Praying for you both.
