How wonderful.......you did such a great job with that plaid string quilt. Plaids are something I really don't have...although I love how they look and always loved the plaid back-to-school skirts when younger! (Gosh...guess I'm dating myself, aren't I?)
Look at that! Right on.
What a nice surprise to get in the mail! Now you can start another plaid project.
I'm a 'mad about plaid' girl myself, and those are yummy! :) Love your Kim Diehl quilt. I have all of her books and I've worn them out drooling/dreaming over them. :)
I like incorporating plaids into my quilts or sometimes using only plaids.
WONDERFUL!! How fun for you :o)
Can I say "yippee-skippy" like when I was a kid? Or maybe just a large HURRAY for plaid pieces *VBS* Hope I come through as a reply setting this time *VBS* Big hugs, Finnie
P,S, Like Pat I believe I started every new grade school year dressed in a plaid dress of some sort or another and matching hair ribbons *VBS*
How lucky to receive those wonderful plaids. I have a stash of plaids and have been looking at them lately. I've seen some pretty quilts using plaids and applique. I might do my applique with wool, I love the look and have been working on a wool penny rug. Looking forward to your plaid inspiration!!!
