Slow Sunday Stitching

Slow stitching.  I find that I am frantically running around the house, on my days off, catching up on housework, laundry, dishes, cooking...you know the drill.

Those quiet moments, when I have something to sew on, by hand...still my brain and heart.  I find myself so much more relaxed, thinking better and more clearly.

Try it?  You will love it!

I am stitching on this circle quilt...it is a scrappy thing that I started last year, and still have many slow stitches to take, to finish it.

"A great journey starts with a single step, " or a fun quilt begins with a single stitch!

I am linking to Kathy's blog, below...so go see what slow stitching other quilters and crafters have going on.

I don't remember these blocks. I like the stars and circles. Will make a very nice quilt at some time. Part of the enjoyment is the travel along the way. You get there eventually but have taken time to smell the roses.

Julie, it just occurred to me that this would make a fabulous baby quilt! It's fun and bright and gorgeous!

Again, more gorgeous applique from you. I enjoy this project each time you take it out to show us your progress. It makes me want to make one too!

I recognize the quilt in your header photo! I made it for my partner in this year's Teal Mini Quilt swap.

I always say great quilts cannot be rushed!!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
