Splendid Sampler!!! and some winners!!

Well, I think I have fallen over the edge, y'all!!  I made a start on the Splendid sampler (remember, I have startitis really, really bad)...made the first five blocks...and they are just gone.  I think the blocks maybe got thrown away by mistake, or something, for I just CANNOT FIND THEM!!!

What is a girl to do, when she really wants to make this quilt?  I started over!  This time...pinks and blues...that is all I am going to put in this quilt.  Hope I have enough to do the whole thing!  I am behind on a few blocks, but oh well...here I go!!!

Tumalo Trails...ongoing!!

This is how far I have progressed with the Bonnie Hunter quilt, "Tumalo Trails".  I am to the point of having all the half square triangles completed, and I have almost all the nine patches completed. I thought I was finished with nine patches, but there are more required than I figured!!
Blue bonnets are so pretty here in the spring!!  I truly love their cheerful, colorful blossoms waving in the breeze, and truly love the deep blue purple, lightening to cream on the top of each blossom. So pretty!
These are a weed that is growing in my yard.  Each spring, they spread, and look somewhat like Blue Bonnets, yet they are not.  I wonder what they are?  I do not mow them down until they are finished blooming.

I wish each of you a wonderful Easter, if you celebrate this holiday!!!

Tumalo Trails start!

I have started this quilt too!!  Tumalo Trails, another Bonnie Hunter quilt!  I have all the 1/2 square triangles sewn, and all the sections of the nine patches sewn.  It will be quick progress from here on out.  The reason this quilt came about is because...I had all the 3.5 inch strip bin out.  It was quick to cut all I needed for this quilt, as I was cutting for the previous quilt.  Do you cut multiple quilts out, sometimes, together too?
Lovely flowers, a treasure!  Thank you, DH!!!
A lovely orchid too...This one is so different...I do not have one like this!!  Smells heavenly, too.  These were for Easter, and I love them.

Happy Easter to all!!

Triangles!!!

I have just been sewing triangles like crazy!  And cutting out more...The intention was to use all my triangles up.  I did not have enough of two inch ones, or three inch ones...so I am cutting and sewing more.
What do you use your mixing bowls for?  LOL!!  These bowls are being used to sort out triangles.
You can see which one of these nine patches just HAS TO GO!!  For a little fun quilt project...
And guess what??  I got to meet Julie, of "Me and My Stitches", at the Dallas Quilt show!!  Whoop!!!!
Julie has generously provided some patterns for giveaway...and I bought one of her famous charms, to give away on the blog, as well.  It is a heart charm, and just so darling...but I cannot get a good picture of it!!

Julie is as nice in person as she seems on her blog...this is where to visit her website!!

1/2 square triangles...

Well, in that never ending closet...was this quilt top.  It was in pieces...I guess I meant to quilt it a little at a time, hand quilting.  I found it recently!!  And ripped out the quilting that I had done, put the whole quilt together...and the white borders just begged me for applique.
This vine is a start...I will add flowers and leaves and other stuff as it comes to me...or the quilt dictates.
I have saved about every single extra half square triangle I have ever made...and it it time to use them up...or not have them anymore.  Yep!!  Have to do this!!  So I am sliver trimming them to use in a quilt...all the same size, so they will fit together nicely.  Tedious, but important, as I have found out, LOL!!
Some pieces and parts from Linda O became this little candle mat...I liked doing the binding and hand quilting!!  60 degree corners!!
And last, but definitely not least...a Ortega green chili can.  It wanted  to become a pin cushion...so it did.

Have a great day!!!

Hexies, rainbow quilts and plaids!

Good morning to all!!!  Above is a hexagon, for English paper piecing.  My kitten Lucky has discovered them, and decided that they are great...
