Dearest Boy update

This is the latest "Dearest Boy" update.  I love the wreath effect made by the bias vines!!!  On my pattern, the pattern acorns just would not fit into the space allowed very well, so I just made one acorn.  I need to do some embroidery still on this block.

On we go!  Please see the below bloggers...they are working on this quilt too!!  Are YOU working on this quilt, too, perhaps??

Hugs from Julie

I like using bias for vines and curvy things--
and I like the plaid leaves you made--
and I always love acorns on a block!!!
luv, di

Doing the single acorns also made the block stitch up a bit faster. I got my acorns fitted in but it does look like a busy block with all there was to add in.
I was about to forget it was the 15th today until I saw your blog post. I had to hurry and take a picture and type my post up.

I always love to see your Dearest Boy blocks and the clever ways you deal with challenges in this pattern, I like the simplified look of one acorn!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
