So this is the next row on the bitty blocks row quilt. 1 inch x 2 inch finished flying geese. I am a little bit in love with them!! Yippee!!! Fun and fast to make...
And this is the next row; pinwheel variation block. I sometimes use paper plates to cut my pieces onto and carry to the sewing machine; it keeps me a little bit organized.
I just cried at this package! My friend Nancy knit me not one, but two pairs of socks! HAND knit!! I love them...thank you so much, Nancy. My feet are an unusual size, so it is hard to find socks that fit them, unless I go into the kids section...
Nancy quilts for quilts of Valor, and has to her credit over 100 quilts, I think, for them. Please see her blog HERE. And...she knits!! LOL!!

Having knitted some socks (rather poorly) I am in awe of Nancy's gifts to you. Beautiful!
And your tiny flying geese? WOW!
Great job!
Awfully small your flying geese! Nice socks! About 20 years ago I knitted a pair of socks. I loved them, but didn't have the courage to make more!!
Oh, love those little flying geese!! What fun!
I am in awe of the socks. I could never do more than straight rows in knitting, and that was decades ago. What a very special surprise!
What a lovely gift ! Are you venturing into the world of mini's? Sweet tiny blocks.
Are the itty bitty blocks part of a Quiltmaker sew along? I remember thinking of making that but being too busy at the time.
I'll be making some of those same sized flying geese today!
Having a lovely relaxing weekend!
❤️ the row of itty bitty flying geese! Enjoy the socks: it was fun to knit for some itty bitty feet for a change. 😎
I love those itty bitty flying geese! I think I even have a Bloc Loc ruler for that size that came in a set...which I haven't opened :-0 I will get on it. Ha!
The socks are beautiful. What a sweet gift!
Love the little flying geese! You are lucky to have a friend that will knit socks for you. Most socks are too big for me also, so I knit my own socks...it is great to have socks exactly the right size!
How special to receive hand knit socks. I have never knit socks and don't intend to. They are so inexpensive to buy....but there are so many pretty sock yarns available nowadays.
Love your knitted socks Julie when we came home from our holiday in a little town was a craft shop and I purchased a beanie, gloves and a jumper. So cold here now I love the warmth of my jumper and gloves the lady spun the wool from her sheep and knitted the garments
what a wonderful gift - those socks are just lovely.
cute row project!
Love those socks! I use paper towels to put blocks on. Works like your paper plates do.
