Little things!!

So this is the next row on the bitty blocks row quilt.  1 inch x 2 inch finished flying geese.  I am a little bit in love with them!!  Yippee!!!  Fun and fast to make...
And this is the next row; pinwheel variation block.  I sometimes use paper plates to cut my pieces onto and carry to the sewing machine; it keeps me a little bit organized.
I just cried at this package!  My friend Nancy knit me not one, but two pairs of socks!  HAND knit!!  I love them...thank you so much, Nancy.  My feet are an unusual size, so it is hard to find socks that fit them, unless I go into the kids section...

Nancy quilts for quilts of Valor, and has to her credit over 100 quilts, I think, for them.  Please see her blog HERE.  And...she knits!!  LOL!!

THANK YOU!

Having knitted some socks (rather poorly) I am in awe of Nancy's gifts to you. Beautiful!
And your tiny flying geese? WOW!

Great job!

Awfully small your flying geese! Nice socks! About 20 years ago I knitted a pair of socks. I loved them, but didn't have the courage to make more!!

Oh, love those little flying geese!! What fun!
I am in awe of the socks. I could never do more than straight rows in knitting, and that was decades ago. What a very special surprise!

What a lovely gift ! Are you venturing into the world of mini's? Sweet tiny blocks.

Are the itty bitty blocks part of a Quiltmaker sew along? I remember thinking of making that but being too busy at the time.
I'll be making some of those same sized flying geese today!
Having a lovely relaxing weekend!

Love the little flying geese! You are lucky to have a friend that will knit socks for you. Most socks are too big for me also, so I knit my own socks...it is great to have socks exactly the right size!

How special to receive hand knit socks. I have never knit socks and don't intend to. They are so inexpensive to buy....but there are so many pretty sock yarns available nowadays.

Love those socks! I use paper towels to put blocks on. Works like your paper plates do.

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
