Good morning!  This is my latest block for my stripy quilt.  I am hand appliqueing the pieces down, and worked on that yesterday for quite a while.
I made some little viney applique pieces for the failed block of last post.  I think they look a bit like Medusa's snakes on her head.  Maybe I should add some flowers or something, LOL!
I sewed the last five blocks for this blue quilt.
And added another block for the strippy, vertical, orphan, red, white, and blue, Barrister's block inspired quilt!!  That is a lot of adjectives, don't you think?

Have a great day, each of you!

That first block is such a happy creation.
I think the Medusa block is fascinating, but maybe a few leaves wouldn't hurt. :)
Oh, your blue blocks are all finished? Celebration time!
Nice, sharp, bold graphics on your r/w/b block. I tried to match you on adjectives, but I just couldn't do it.

I admire you for keeping up with all of your WIPs! Sadly, mine are all put away now....well, they are in a pile waiting to be put away. Woke to a 5” covering of snow this morning. Snow doesn’t even make my Top 1000 Favorite Things list. It better not snow on Sat. And interfere with my great escape!

All terrific as can be!

Lovely blocks, Julie. For the hexagon block, maybe some more leaves with some dots, like grape looking? Maybe? You'll come up with something, I'm sure. There might be a lot of adjectives but we know exactly what you are talking about, lol. They all look wonderful. Enjoy! ;^)

Love all of your blocks including the dreaded hexies - looks great!

I agree with the people suggesting a few more leaves on the hexie, though I also rather like the snake-head thought (but then my kids used to keep snakes, so they have good associations for me).

Sorry the hexxies didn't work. I did the sashings for an entire quilt that were the wrong size in the pattern. Guess I should have double checked after making one... I smashed it together and made it work. regretted it and took a couple months to pull it all apart. Still sitting in pieces. To this day, I dislike flying geese. I have a fancy new ruler that's supposed to make it easy, but I haven't had the heart to try it. Medusa made me laugh- probably not what you were going for. I can't imagine the amount of hand applique you do. Nope. But yours is lovely. Love ya!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
