Tada!! It is quilted!! I still need to add circles, which I will...or not. Dear husband did not like the circles, so I may leave them off. But I like them...
But it is quilted!!! And that is just so cool. One of my big wishes in life is for a long arm quilter of my very own. But for now?? I just have to wait!!!
Now, dear friends...what is your suggestion for a binding color???
Have a super Tuesday!

Hi Julie,
I love your blog and have been following you for quite some time. Your quilt is beautiful, and you could bind it in that pretty blue, if you have some left, or the red, or even a scrappy binding would look good. Will be watching for the decision!
Loretta
I agree, definitely blue. Great job!
That WAS fast, Julie, and it's beautiful. Love it (but I'm with the hubster, no circles!!). :-) You are on a roll. Hope you're feeling OK.
Congrats on the quilting. It is fabulous! Great job Julie. For the binding, I would start with brown, believe it or not, as there seems to be a lot of brownish colours in the quilt, so I would start by trying that just to see if it would make it pop. Or scrappy would look good too. It's your call. Enjoy! ;^)
My first thought was blue binding. The quilt turned out great!
My first thought it is a red binding to match the border to the let the scrappy quilt stand on it's own. I love it! Second thought is a blue.
Lovely Julie!!! How fun :*) I'd stick with the red binding probably if it were mine. Congrats on the finish!
me too blue....lovely!
Awesome finish! I think the blue would be pretty, but's your quilt, so whatever you choose will be perfect. Fingers crossed for a long arm machine just for you, I LOVE mine!
I'd go with blue but I would make it an indigo or navy blue, really dark to make the eye stop from falling off the edge of the quilt. The quilt is gorgeous just as it is and I hope you will leave off the circles. It has a lovely balance.
It's turned put wonderful. I would go for either the blue for the binding or scrappy with a blue flange
Your quilt is beautiful. Your inspired me to start a string quilt of my own. I did and in a very short time I had enough blocks for a child's quilt for a charity donation. I used primarily my left over strings from pillowcases that my guild does for children in hospitals. The blocks are done and are waiting to be sewn together.
As for your binding, my vote says red or dark blue.
So scrapilicious! I'd use the same as the inner border. XO
wonderful finish! Love all the memories quilted into it!
I have this same quilt... almost the identical border colors too. I bound mine with a pieced scrappy binding echoing the brighter colors in the blocks. Yours is a winner no matter how you decide to proceed!
I like the blue you used as the first border for the binding but a scrappy binding would work very well too.
Dear Julie,
congradulations on this beauty, looks so good quilted.
Lots of colors go with this one, choose whatever you like best, you know it for sure.
Greetings,
Sylvia
That is gorgeous. I would also go with the blue.
GORGEOUS!!!!! Any colour will look wonderful...love this scrap happy quilt!
Beautiful! First thought for binding was red like the border but blue like the inner border might be good too! Inspiring!
Love it just as it is, had forgotten about the circles! Hmmm perhaps they can go in the next quilt, or star in a quilt of their own? Definately would go with the same red but if you don't have any then a scrappy binding would be nice.
Another fantastic finish. I'm late to the party here, so you probably already have the binding on! I'll have to wait to see what you picked.
My first thought was blue, but I think a scrappy binding would be a nice finish! It looks great - can't believe how fast you are!
Congratulations on your finish!
Scrappy binding for sure... all colours except red :)
I agree Blue...its beautiful
Beautiful quilt! I, too, wish for a long-arm machine...but, alas, I don't have the money or the room. :( So for now I use my Juki TL 2000Qi which has a bigger throat space than my regular machine.
THe quilt looks great, and I think a scrappy binding would be just what you need to use up more of the stash.
Congrats on your finish! I think the blue from the skinny border would look really nice.
I would use the same blue that you used for the skinny border in order that the eye has a place to rest as it makes it's way about the happy, scrappiness of your quilt which, BTW, Julie, is awesome!
