Postage Stamp Progress

Cleaning up projects!!  That is what I am trying to do.  This is a BIG job, though!!  8000 little squares...no strip piecing.  Just 8000 little squares, asking to be one big quilt!!
At one inch finished, this will be an 80x100 inch quilt.    This is about 25% done at this point, maybe a little more.  I am trying to be very accurate, and actually PINNING some!!  Whoda thunk it!!!  Hope each of you is doing wonderfully today!

Have a great day, everyone!!!

That will be wonderful when it is done. I am in awe. Are you using each fabric only once?

Julie, I always admire postage stamp quilts. And I think the people who make them have the patience of Job! Your quilt will be such fun!

it looks great - these little postage stamp quilts take some time but they are fun to make - I'm not using pins in mine and need to square up in places, yours will be much more accurate!

Simple little squares but they can get out of wack. Going to be spectacular. It definitely is a long term project!

Holey molely. That's a lot of small squares to sew together! It's gorgeous and will definitely be a special one of a kind quilt when you're done. I admire your perseverance.

I'm saving my squares to someday make a postage stamp...I have a long way to go. Gotta ask...do you iron as you go?

The postage stamp quilt is adorable! Are you piecing it in groups of 4-patches? 16-patches?
They look awesome!! Very tempting!

Beautiful as always! I am amazed by how much you accomplish. I also have one of these in the works but I haven't made much progress on it yet.

How wonderful!! I love it. Are you just cutting fabrics as you go? I have some fabric that has been cut off the sides of quilts after quilting that i don't know what to do with. I think this would be a great way to use up all of that odd fabric. Thank you for the idea!!

I did a one inch postage stamp quilt once and I thought never again! Now looking at yours I'm getting second thoughts about that!! It's GOOORRRRGEOUS! So lively and lovely. One inch at a time and you will get through. Enjoy the process and tranquility of making it. ;^)

Yikes, 8,000 squares - that would be an over-whelming project for me to tackle.

Wow - this is really going to be a wonderful quilt. I love quilts like this that you can just spend forever looking at all of the different fabrics. FUN!

Hexies, rainbow quilts and plaids!

Good morning to all!!!  Above is a hexagon, for English paper piecing.  My kitten Lucky has discovered them, and decided that they are great...
