And a little more floral progress

I have been steadily working on this quilt each morning.  Lots of strings...I am re-thinking that bright pink scrap down the middle bottom half....but all that piecing needs something in between it!!!  Maybe some squares?
Also, the brown baskets...I think I will add something to brighten them up, to match the rest of the quilt.

Any thoughts from you?

Hugs to all!

Julie

It's going to be a beautiful quilt! Would maybe a solid strip like that tall vase tie it all together rather than the pink? Just wondering. I really like your pieced sashings! ---"Love"

When I said I didn't like my quilt, it was more I didn't feel any attachment to it. I do love your strings, but agree that pink strip may need to be replaced.

Maybe a yellow, or 2 or 3 colours would be less "out there" than the pink?

It is looking so good! Maybe the pink stands out a little too much. If you use a color that blends more--and possibly add it in with another sashing or two, it would fit in nicely.

i too agree with replacing the pink...

The pink catches my eye for sure. It's just there, you know? I would suggest either replacing it with a darker strip or adding more pink strips between other blocks to tie it in. The vases look good to me, but maybe because I don't feel they're the focus?

Replace the pink with a dark colour, similar to vases. I dont mind it myself, but it does distract the eye. A few yo yo flowers in the little baskets would be nice.

If you fancy the pink, just put some more in, perhaps a narrow sashing around all the blocks?

Love those bright stringy sashings! And I'm in with the crowd - either throw in lots more pink, or replace it with a darker color. (I'd say orange, but I always say orange, so don't listen to me...)

Perhaps instead of the pink, bring in the color of the baskets to make it more cohesive?

Lots of things going on!

Good morning, or evening to you!!!  I have been sewing pouches of different sizes, and I enjoy filling them with different things and giftin...
