Quiltville Mystery Quilt!

What fun this has been!  I have been working a lot, but just HAD to stop and complete the first clue in Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville's mystery quilt; "On Ringo Lake".

Please see her post here, to find out all about the mystery, which she hosts every year.

Please see her post about step one of the mystery, here!

Bonnie chose teals/aquas and melon colors...I took a good look at my strips and string and scraps and said...I better use up some blues!!  So I did....and had a lovely time piecing these little nine patches.
I had some strip sets left over, so I will probably make some smaller quilt from leftover pieces and parts.  I have done this a few times in the past, while sewing Bonnie's mystery quilts.

I use these bins from the hospital...they are thrown away with each heart cath, and I hate to see them go to waste, so I organize quilt projects in them.

Have a super day!

Love your little blocks Julie. I'm participating in the mystery this year too; my first time. I already can't wait for next week's clue. Linking up tomorrow!

Great recycling! I would be hard pressed to come up with enough blue in my scraps to make more than a mini quilt 😊

I love Bonnie's stuff but mostly it's pretty tiny and tiny doesn't work well for me. I got lucky with Easy Street (all together except final border..GAH) and when I saw the size of the 9 patches I thought 'I'll just wait and see what it winds up' as I'd rather bigger pieces. I'll be watching!

Since I don't have much aqua, I too would push the color closer to blue. Enjoy the 9 patch mountain. ;^)

I had to smile at your bringing containers home from the hospital. Reminded me of my mother who saved the rubber tips from bloodmobiles to put on the ends of her knitting needles. Glad you had time to work on ORL.

Looks like you're ready for clue #2 and off to a great start!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
