Off on a tangent!

Plaids!! Again...these blocks are 7 inches finished. 45 pieces in each block. I don't know why, but I think these blocks are challenging!! I love them...especially the ones with high contrast. These are all from shirt plaids, even the dark bear toes. (thrift shop!)
All 12 blocks are prepped!! Yippee!! I did add some leaves to the block from last post, but not all the inside stuff...just too much for me...I may add it later if the muse descends!!!

Everyone, have a great day...hope those of you on the East coast were not too shook up by the earthquake today!!

I love bears paw blocks in plaid. I have saved a picture of one from a magazine for years and years. Someday I may make one, too!
I enlarged the photo of your applique blocks and surveyed how the latest block fits in with the others. I think what you added was plenty to make it blend well with the others.
Is productivity your middle name? : )

Love those plaid blocks - we don't see plaids a lot in Australia, so please steer me in the right direction! I think they add a charm to log cabin quilts.

Love your plaid bear's paw - I adore that block - have a Bear paw plaid UFO waiting to be quilted but my blocks were much bigger! Recycled fabrics in mine too!

I have not tried working with shirt plaids - always thought they would be kind of flimsy. Did you have to stabilize them at all? Your blocks look great.

The applique quilt is going to be a real beauty.
