Well, I have lots of plaids...and lots of plains! (what I call solids...) Why not combine them into a fun quilt??? Here is what is on my mind!! These are three inch finished half square triangles of muslin and plaid, then with an added solid flippy square. I have a ton of these all cut out and ready to go!!!
OK, all you Log Cabin Loonies!! Isn't this a fun, fun log cabin quilt? This one was on Pinterest, and I found that it was made by Elaine, at the Messy Goat blog. I found that I just love her work, and thank her for letting us all admire her quilt, above. This one brings in lots of color, but also some negative space...I love it, and love her design!!
Please add your link below, anyone, of your past, present and future log cabin quilts!! There are no rules here, just fun!! I appreciate seeing everyone's links last month...it has been an absolutely crazy month for me, and I hope to have more time this month to put my log cabin quilt together. Oh, who I am kidding...I have several sets of log cabin blocks, just waiting to be put together in a quilt, LOL!!!
Have a wonderful day, everyone!!! Go and and gaze at the moon...it had a big circle around it yesterday, and was just so gorgeous...hopefully you can see it tonight, clouds not withstanding!!

I saw that moon last night! It was beautiful! That log cabin star layout is really neat. What size do you think the log cabins are?
That is a fun way to use your plaids.
Wow, that log cabin really makes a statement!!
Oh, I might have to try some of those HSTs but I think I will sew the solid and plaid together into strips and then cut for HSTs rather than do the flippy thing. I just love the look.
I'll have to check out the Messy Goat blog. I certainly like what I see of that log cabin quilt.
Really loving your HSTs in plaids and solids - nice! I've linked up an older post with my current log cabin UFO. Fun linky party - looking forward to seeing everyone's projects.
I saw that log cabin quilt on Pinterest too. Now I have to go to Messy Goat blog to see the rest as I love her log cabin.
You new project looks very promising. Is it for a quilt or for a border? Either way, can't wait to see more of this. Enjoy the sewing! ;^)
I've seen the moon the past couple of nights and it's been gorgeous. The weatherman last night said it was called the buck moon as its the time the buck begin to 'sprout' their antlers. He also said it was the hay moon and something else (for whatever reasons). That log cabin quilt is beautiful!
I added a link to my quarter-log-cabin quilt named Topsy Turvy . . . thanks for hosting this each month. Such fun to see what others are stitching.
Those HSTs look like fun! And that log cabin is gorgeous! (And the layout is now tucked away for future reference - I love log cabins!)
Every full moon is so fun checking all the log cabin quilts....and the log cabin loonies!
