Marcie Patch! Marcie has been my friend for many years, and now, she is selling all her patterns until they are gone...and not designing any more! I was so sad, but remembered that I had a quilt inspired by her pattern that I had enjoyed making, but was not completed. It is all done, except for the binding! Yahoo!! Please see her website here: http://patchalotpatterns.com/ Marcie, thank you for sharing your talent and quilts and encouragement with me for so many years...thank you!!
A few circles!! Sometimes, quilts just have to take their sweet time to come to fruition. I, at last, am making progress on my circle quilt! I have many, many circles all cut and ready to stitch, while watching the news at night. Hurrah!!
I have also been working on my Log Cabin Loonie blocks, and just loving that!! How about you?? The full moon is coming up!!
This fellow has been perched close to my front door for about a week, eating his fill of bugs. I like him, and he appears to be quite fearless of me. Frog? Toad? I don't know...but he told me his name is Fernando the Frog. Hee!!
Have a great day!!
Julie

I love Marcie Patch too and was saddened by her recent news, but happy she has been enjoying life. I was just looking at a pattern of hers in an older magazine and thinking how great it would be for all my CW scraps. Love your little quilt! Isn't is suprising how close some quilts come to being finished before being thrown over for something new? So curious how that happens so often!
Love your circles, hate watching the news :)
Fernando looks pretty well fed, lol.
Such a cute little quilt you have made.
Marcie is a sweetheart. I keep hoping we will meet up someday, since she has family an hour or two away from me.
What a handsome fellow you have guarding your entrance. Any princesses try kissing him yet? : )
Hee hee love Fernando frog we have some due to the rain they live in the back garden always enjoy seeing your work Julie
I'm going to check out Marcie Patch's patterns now. Your frog is cute; how sweet of you to let him stay. :)
Julie, you are such a sweetheart! And your work is beautiful. It makes me happy to see you making one of my patterns!
I have one of her patterns I bought ages ago. I think I need to dig it out and get it made! Fernando is adorable, but I do believe he's a toad. :0)
Fernando is cute. Cutting all those circles out takes time. Now that that part is done, you can have fun stitching.
Your little quilt has a Pennsylvania Dutch styled border. Very cute.
I had a little toad who lived in my potato patch one summer - he'd made a little cave under a plant and always seemed to be in it. I've built toad houses, too, to encourage them to hang around because they eat so many bugs!
I've been making courthouse steps blocks this week, using your advice to cut my logs at 1.25". Being able to slice a 2.5" strip sure speeds up the cutting. Thanks!
Just kiss me, com'on, just a little kiss, what could it hurt you?
Toads live from 5-10 years (up to 40). Better make friends with him because they tend to stay in same area.
