Log Cabin style quilt blocks can be fun to play with. Turn them and a whole new design appears.
always love log cabins
That left side thing adds a cool element! Love this layout for inspiration!
Fun layout! I always find my layout errors in photos!!
there's more than something wrong on the left side! On the right side your blocks are out of kilter too.
Lovely quilt--some blocks just don't want to play by the rules lol hugs, Julierose
Funny how you got the top and bottom row correct. You need a map - or a diagram. It helps. It's a very pretty quilt.
Photos are the best way to see layout errors. I did the exact thing yesterday. LOVE this scrappy Log cabin, best kind!
Try the right row added to the left...
There is always so much potential with log cabin blocks. Have fun arranging...going to be a very pretty quilt!
Too many fun options! How will you ever decide?
I have also been playing with log cabin blocks today.
I think I am going with a zig zag setting.
Have fun playing-Love the layout!!
Nice to have these pretty blocks to play with. You could leave it just like this and call it the Hashimoto setting!
Not always easy to lay out the blocks! Even more so when we think it is a simple block and it will go without a stink. Sorry to say but I think both sides need a little tuning. Other than that, it looks great and I love it. At least you don't have to rip the seams. ;^)
Dear Julei,
you are so creative, I think just 3 blocks need to be turned so the white starts on top to continue the Zig-Zag.
Looking forward for which layout you will go for.
Greetings,
Sylvia
Fabulous looking quilt...are you aiming for a zig-zag? It is going to be a fun quilt...you are so darn creative!
Love the colors in your log cabin blocks! Have fun playing with the design.
The blocks are so pretty! hope you get them the way you like them.
I just finished 81 log cabin blocks that I need to play with. May be the hardest part of making this quilt. Love your blocks!
