A pumpkin-ish post

Just a little pumpkin for the season...although it is still summer here, at least the temps are a tiny bit cooler.  This is from Quilt vine; just click on their name to see their website.  It was a kit...but I changed the borders.  Just can't leave well enough alone, can I?
And I added a bigger pincushion under the tiny one I made...just playing here.

ALERT!!!  ALERT!!! ALERT!!!

A  couple things!  Please see this post...Audrey of Quilty Folk's mom lost all her stash and quilts in a horrendous fire.  Let's just fill her mailbox with pretty, pretty stash fabric...and rebuild her stash!  What do you say??  Quilters can do it!!   Sweet Paulette blogged about it HERE!

And another thing...Stephanie of Ditchin time quilts is having a wonderful giveaway...please see it here...and guess what?  She is a nurse too!!!  HERE!!

Have a great day, everyone!!!  Thank you for you friendship...when I am having a rough day,  you always lift me up!!

Julie

I've already pulled out a stack of fabric to send off. I have a feeling she's going to have a great new stash! :0)

You are always doing something to help and bless others. I'm thrilled to get to mail off a package to this quilter. I remember getting together a package of pink fabrics I collected from my bee members when you were asking for those a few years ago. I have way more fabric than I will ever use. I went back to the original post of the woman's daughter and she said she would love anything, including batiks. Thanks for getting the word out through your blog.

Your pumpkin is very cute, and better because you made it unique to you!
I read about this from a link on Terry's blog and have started stuffing a mailer. : )

Such a pretty pumpkin! I like your pin cushions too! Yes I read about it on Audrey's blog today. I hope to get a package off in a couple of days. I hope she has room for all the fabric she is going to receive! Quilters are very generous!

Julie--I cannot believe this! People are being so lovely to my mom, whom they've never even met or got to know. This is just overwhelming in a very good way.:)

I read about Audrey's mom on her (Audrey) website. We won't be home until the first half of next week, but I definitely plan to gather up a few fat quarters and get them mailed off to her mom. While I'd love some of that fabric Audrey's offering in exchange, I doubt I'll make it in time. But so what ... it'll be awesome to inundate Audrey's mom with fabric!

Such a lovely little pumpkin patch! LOVE it.
Julie, I would really love to give to this unfortunate person. My friend's house burn down back in April and they are only STARTING to fix it. It took a big 5 months before the repair starts. It is such a horrible thing to happen to someone. Oh yes I really want to help this woman! It won't replace all that she has lost but at least, she will be able to sew. :)

Happy Fall! One reason I like blogging is the big hearts quilters have.
