I love the leaves, it is fantastic. I have found that taking a picture often helps to make a decision.

I too like the leaves but you are making the quilt for your own pleasure so how about "leave"ing some out? !! I mean one vine with one leaf or two and the other sashing with three or just two leaves per vine but make them bigger. It won't look so busy but it won't be plain either. Or maybe I am just making the question harder to answer. Good luck Julie.
Leaves are good, but is agree with Chantal that your eye might be happier with fewer leaves per vine.
I love the look with the leaves--that said, it is your quilt and you need to be happy with it!
I like the look of the leaves, but like it was said it is your quilt and your time commitment. The leaves tie it all together, at least for me.
I like it better with the leaves. Good idea to take a picture and view it that way to help in your decision making process.

The flowers are simple so I like the leaves on this one. But file away that cute wavy line idea for another project.

In fact I went back and read through the comments to make sure there wasn't another Rebecca! lol I love the quilt on the cover of the book! Yes, the leaves look wonderful! My digital camera has become an important quilting tool for me. I don't know what it is about taking a photo, but it sure helps me to 'see' my quilt.
I know it will quadruple your time investment, but the leaves just make it oh-la-la. You piece soooooo quickly though, that it will only be a few more minutes for YOU.

The leaves look wonderful-looks bare in the other photo.
The leaves look perfect, without them it looks a little empty. I mean still good, but with the leaves is prettier I think.

I vote with everyone else in leaving the leaves on. This is a creative sashing that I have not see done before and I like it a lot!
