For Sale!

Good afternoon, everyone.  The time has come, folks...I must part with some treasures.  Many people are downsizing, and I am one of them.  It was always my intent to hand quilt the above quilt top, but I am just not getting it done, so I would like this quilt top to go to someone who will complete it, or enjoy it as it is.  It was told to me that this quilt is from the 1880's, but I have no knowledge of this.  It is entirely hand pieced.  The middle blocks are pinks and indigos, but the outside blocks are different colors...a little maverick.   I paid $120.00 at the Dallas quilt show for this, and am offering it for 1/2 of that...$60.00 plus whatever postage is.   (Update!  Claimed!!  thank you!)
Some quilt books too...Some brand new, others older...how about $25.00 for these.  I am sure I will find some more to throw in the box as well...  ( Claimed!)  thank you!

I am going through kits and fabric too...I feel the urgent need to finish some things up in my life...do you ever feel that way?

Have a great day!!!

Julie

I often feel that way... especially in the spring and when my sewing space gets too cluttered and overwhelmed with too many things on the go.
There is such a thing as too many good things :)

I'm hoping to have time to do this myself. Is the Needle Threads book Falloween by any chance?

Bargain prices for sure, Julie! Wish I could relieve you of that quilt top. I display vintage tops on my loft railing. but I must be realistic and remind myself that I have already overspent my monthly quilting budget--and the month is young! I hope it goes to a good home!
My Mom had surgery this week, Julie, and I have often wished you could be there. We have had some wonderful nurses, but others that could use a dash of compassion.

I hear you. However, I'm giving things to the two new quilters, my DIL and younger son's gal. They are on limited budget with college and a teacher salary. Not hey just learned to quilt this last month and have the bug!

I am feeling this way too. Decluttering and keeping only what I really love

I had started packing up my sewing room in anticipation of a move that (thankfully) never materialized. Seeing all that stuff made me want to use at least some of it up, particularly the small scraps and strings. So, I'm making string blocks on phone book paper. Oddly, the pile of scraps never seems to decrease.

I probably need to do this again too. It's been awhile and my quilting room is getting very full!

Oh yeah I know that feeling. We have bought a house and are settling at the end of the month. I have spent much of the last six weeks cleaning out, donating, selling, chucking out stuff we don't use, don't need. It very therapeutic, but I do have to be in the mood to purge!

Lots of things going on!

Good morning, or evening to you!!!  I have been sewing pouches of different sizes, and I enjoy filling them with different things and giftin...
