A few close-to-finishes?

Quilted!!  A couple of quilt tops that have been lingering in the quilt closet...quilted!  I am delighted for these quilts, being to this stage.  I bought these blocks, I think on e-bay, long ago.  AND set them together long ago...then carefully pressed the top and hung it in the closet...until recently!  Darcie of October's child had started working for the post office, and recently has decided to return to quilting.  So....she quilted these for me!
And lookie!!  A hand dyed back from her stash...it is so pretty and soft in real life...the picture does not do it justice at all.  Excuse the fold lines...I just got them unpacked!
This is another top that has been lingering in the same closet...time to geterdun!  She quilted swirlie circles on this one...
 A bigger view.
And the current Primitive Gatherings woolie block.  I had real problems getting these wools to adhere...I think my wonder under is old!!  I look forward to hand blanket stitching these pieces down.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Fabulous finishes. The teal-print sashing is perfect for the string blocks.

I'm crazy about your string quilt with the blue or turquoise shashing and the going one way and then the other way blocks. Hope your day is good, too.

Julie, I made one of the Sonja's Window quilts, too, and gave it away as a gift. isn't that the greatest pattern for strings? Yours is amazing.

How fun to have them out of the closet and all quilted! Two great quilts!
The P.G. block looks good. I love Lisa's designs!

I love your little basket quilts. I'm collecting basket quilt patterns but really like yours better than others I have found.

I think I need to make a string quilt--love it! I've been using Heat & Bond Lite and have trouble getting it to stick too. I gave up on the featherweight-- that doesn't adhere the wool at all. Your cotton Sunflower Gatherings is going to be a fun quilt!

I love the swirlie quilting on the string quilt. I don't have much luck with Wonder Under and have been looking for a new fusible since I can't find Steam a Seam 2 Lite any more. Sometimes I just get out the glue! (Roxanne's)

What a cute Sunbonnet Sue quilt! You did a great job putting those blocks together! So nice to have it all finished. I love the string quilt too! String quilts are one of my favorites and yours turned out beautifully!

Great job getting the closet cleaned! The aqua sashing is so wonderful. It is not a colour I would think to use especially in a busy scrappy quilt like this but it calms it down and it is such a pleasant addition of colour. I love it. I need to get that colour in my stash ... and use it. Hope your P.G. block won't give you too much trouble. Happy sewing.

Buried treasures revealed! Congrats on getting them done. Wonder Under maybe doesn't like to get old either :)

We use Lite Steam a Seam on wool.

I really like the swirly quilting too! Nice counterpoint to the straight lines in the blocks.

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
