Can you stand just one more?

Hi Friends!! Can you stand just one more picture of the plaid quilt? The top is finished! I put the final borders on this morning, and I am so happy that it is all together. The very outside is waving hello to you, but it measures perfectly and will straighten all out when it is smoothed and quilted. I have not decided what to do about the quilting...hmmm, I just the love hand quilting process so much, but my life is sliding by pretty fast, and if I were to hand quilt all the quilts I want to, I would be 593 years old when I finished!! I just noticed that I found this pattern picture on the web on July 16th, and on September 3 (today), I have a top! Cool, huh?
I also finished this one, all hand quilted with black thread, and the binding hand stitched, just finished today as well. So WOOHOO!! Seems like I have been hooked on strings lately... Now what? I think I will concentrate on the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler...I love those little baby blocks!
I so love to hear from each of you...thank you so much for the richness you bring to my life. Just wanted each of you to know that you are making such a wonderful impact with your comments and peeks at each project that a quilter puts on her or his blog...thank you!!!!!! Your friendship is wonderful to me.

I can stand you showing a photo of your quilt a dozen more times. I printed out a picture of it to remind me of something to do with plaids that are waiting in their bins.

Both of those are wonderful...just love the digified scrapiness of them.

I am with you on the hand quilting...it takes forever and then some.

Have a great cool weekend...Will OU win this year when they play in your new Texas stadium?

I love your plaid quilt and am glad you like the Evelyn Sloppy books. I like almost all of her designs. Now that I've seen your finished top I know I'm going to have to make one.

I'm also a nurse, so I really enjoy hearing about your patients as well as seeing your lovely quilts. I was never much on plaids before but yours is great. May have to make one of my own. How's your young patient doing? My prayers are with her, her family and for those who are caring for her as well.

Its a great quilt! I too love to hand quilt, but it takes me so long to do. I am planning on hand quilting my Circus Star quilt, but with the utility stitch and embroidery floss...that should speed up the process.

You are probably tired of looking at it, so just because you are a sweet gal, I will be happy to take it off your hands - personally, I am NOT tired of looking at this beauty!!!

And if you choose not to send it to me, I'll be watching for MORE views, as you decide on a quilting pattern. It's really a gorgeous quilt, and your happy plaids make it even BETTER than the inspiration quilt which I also LOVE.

These are so beautiful, Julie! It's good to know that nurses like you get attached to your patients, and keep them in prayer. Best wishes to Carrie and all who are caring for her.

A delightful quilt! A very nice finish. :O)

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
