Happy Fourth of July!!!

Wheww!!  I have run a couple a marathons, figuratively speaking.  I worked 5 days in a row...then went on a trip to attend my sister's funeral ( She passed away in February, but due to covid, we only could go now), and then I worked 3 more days.  THIS IS MY FIRST DAY OFF IN 17 DAYS!!!!!  WHOOP!!!!!!!!!!

I bound a lot of things on the trip, and hand quilted as moments arose.  I finished binding the above crumb quilt, which I just love.  Flannel makes up the backing.  It is so cuddly!

I finished the hand quilting on the discovered quilt in the quilt closet...
All done!!!!  I washed it...flannel is on the back of this one, too.  I used polyester batting, and I wonder how that will be, usage wise.

In my sister's home was a curio cabinet made by my father.  It was sent home with me...
I am still deciding where to place it, so it is temporarily in the foyer.

This is my hand stitching of the day!!!  I usually hand quilt during on-line church.  Now that is a perk of staying home instead of going in person!

Happy Fourth of July to all who celebrate; I am grateful for American independence!

Oh, what cozy quilts you have made. Turn up the AC, get a cup of cocoa, and wrap up in one of these while you read a book. So sorry you sister is gone. My sister died last October. What a lovely piece of furniture to remember both your sister and your father.

Congrats on finishing these gorgeous quilts. Love the "discovered" quilt. Sorry to hear about your sister. Your father knew how to work with wood. Beautiful cabinet. Enjoy your day off! ;^)

Condolences on the loss of your sister, it was so nice you could have a funeral now to help you heal. The cabinet is beautiful, what a lovely memory of your sister and your father. I use polyester in quilts with no problem. They are warmer than cotton or wool batting so I normally use those quilts in the winter. I've had no problems with wear but that might depend on the brand used. Happy stitching!

So sorry to hear of your loss! I hope you will have a bit of comfort and closure after her funeral.
that curio cabinet is so pretty--will you use it to house your quilts?
Hope your 4th was amazing...
hugs, my "log cabin looney" friend...;))) Julierose

Your time has been limited, but you always make the best use of it no matter what you're doing or even if you're on the road. I'm glad your family was able to be together for your sister's memorial. Your father's workmanship is beautiful. You'll be finding the perfect use for his lovely cabinet.

You are such a busy woman, and amazingly productive with your personal time. Two wonderful scrap quilts, and the flannel backs will make them extra cozy.
I am sorry about the passing of your sister.
What a lovely remembrance of your father and sister that cabinet will be. Are you going to fill it with quilts? :)
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

After being in relationship with Wilson for seven years,he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and she suggested that I should contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that don’t believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I meant a spell caster called Dr Zuma zuk and I email him, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem and who is different from all the fake ones out there. Anybody could need the help of the spell caster, his email: spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com or WhatsApp him +15068001647 blog: spiritualherbal.blogspot.com you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or anything. Oh my goodness you have been busy! Terrific finishes!
That cabinet would be perfect for storing little quilts!
You have been quite prolific during this time of busyness :)

I know you are missing your sister still as am I. Gloria passed on June 5th but our family and friends were blessed to be able to be together outdoors to celebrate her life. It made me realize all over again how hard this past year has been on families not able to be together to find comfort. Losing my sister has been more than anything I've ever experienced in life. A challenge but working to choose gratitude for having shared her love and especially the fun of living near each other the past 2 years.

What a busy time!!! So glad you finally got a day off! and that curio cabinet.... I have one almost like it!! I wonder if it was a pattern? My grandpa went to nebraska and got it and put it on the back of his horse to bring it to my grandma in Wyoming.....

I hope you find a great place for yours and fill it with lots of quilts!!!
