Big Lake Quilter: Four Seasons of April (wwwbiglakequilter.blogspot.com)
Please see all of Cathy's projects, above.
This does not look organized, but the whole quilt is cut out and placed on the cookie sheet...lots of work in this little messy pile!!! LOL!
Here is my mini for this month. A one block wonder quilt!! I like it...hand quilted, and made from a pretty bright batik. I am linking with Wendy, at the Constant Quilter blog...she is a master mini quilt maker!!
I recently got a shelf from Home Depot to house my fabrics and project bins. It is miraculous how organized I feel!! So grateful for that!!!

Covid! It seems to be winding down for us! At our peak, we had 122 patients in our hospital with it. As of yesterday, we had 9. HURRAH!!! I am so delighted for this...it seems safer, and the staff is less stressed about getting sick, etc. We are kind of holding our breath, as our state has recently opened up. I cannot thank everyone enough for your love and support. Some made caps and scarves, some made bags and masks, and everyone was so kind and loving...THANK YOU so much!!!

Hope you are doing great today,
Julie

Gorgeous blocks!
Enjoyed seeing your projects Julie. That is good to hear re covid
I'd say that is a perfect mini! Simple and sweet. I am following that same principal this month too. I have linked you in to Friday's post. I love the quilt that you and Cathy are doing together. Such fun blocks. The basket blocks are gorgeous too. If you find you run out of brown, let me know! I am frightfully overloaded too. So happy to hear that Covid is settling down for you. It has really slowed down here in Maine too. Bless you nurses!!
I really like that little basket block--nice work...hugs, Julierose
Your quilt is coming together nicely.
A basket quilt is a great way to use up some of your browns. And the added yellow will make the whole thing shine.
What is not to love about your mini? A pretty batik and a classic block combine well.
So glad to hear that thinks have calmed down in regards to COVID and your hospital. I have often worried about you, with all the exposure and stress you were facing.
These baskets will be fabulous. So happy to hear those hospital numbers, we are really making progress with vaccines.
The COVID vaccine seems to have allowed a bit normalcy to creep back into life. I’m happy to hear hospitalizations are declining. I’m grateful for those who worked on the front line for so long.
The brown basket blocks will make a great quilt.
The quilt is dazzling. Who wouldn't want a quilt like that on their bed? So glad things are finally slowing down for you at the hospital.
Your quilt is going to look great. Love baskets and those will make a great quilt. Cute mini. Congrats on your covid counts. Know you must feel relieved.
Yay! What a huge Covid drop! I love your brown baskets with yellow handles.
Your quilt is beautiful! Great way using the browns for basket blocks. Cute mini, beautiful batik.
All your sampler blocks are so bright and cheerful. Maybe as you are feeling with the big decrease in covid patients. Love your sweet mini for April. Love the bright batik.
Lots of lovely quilts..... I'm catching up on a few posts.....
Wonderful news re covid...... How that it does not flare up again
Dear Julie, love your basket block and the big quilt is coming along very well, nice project.
