Speaking of plaids...a great treat is at my house! PLAID STRINGS!! And I did not make this quilt...
But Joan did!!! I just love it...she makes quilts, and I was lucky enough to purchase one from her...IN PLAIDS!!! I am in great love with it! It is made from shirt fabrics, mostly, and it is so soft and lovely. Drapable and seems just like a quilty hug. Joan asked me if I was buying this for someone, for a gift...NOPE! This one stays with me!

Dear Julie, the quilt I made for you is ALL upcycled men’s shirts for the front and binding. Only the backing is not. It is luscious Thimbleberries though! So glad you like it!
The first picture is so you: hearts and plaids = Julie! The quilt you bought is fantastic. I just LOVE that border with the block at the corners... just WOW! Great purchase! And yes, you did buy it as a gift, a gift to your favorite nurse who works so hard and needs this quilt: YOU! You deserve it. Enjoy! ;^)
Love what you are doing with the hearts and that string quilt .... OMG .... love it!
The hearts and plaid strings could be your signature quilt.;)
And the quilt you bought from Joan is a winner. Love the border treatment. I don't blame you for keeping that one!

I'd say you made a really good deal getting that pretty quilt! Your hearts and plaids are going to be just as lovely when you get them all together. Your work is beautiful. ---"Love"

Nice quilt from Joan. You deserve to treat yourself. Glad you got some of your sister's quilts, too (sorry, I'm playing catch up with my blog reading).
