Happy Labor Day!!

Happy Labor Day, here in the USA.  I made four more blocks for this quilt...the "Meeting House" quilt from Facebook.  I think I will make one more row of six blocks and call it done.
Rosie wants you to know that she is the most beautiful doggie in the Universe.  I totally agree!! A little plumpness just adds to her charm!!!

********************************Out and About******************

We went to a movie, "The Art of Racing in the Rain."

I liked it...sad, happy moments and in-between.  No cussing or wild sex or violence....just a good show.  I was glad to get to go!!!  NO popcorn, after I saw that a bucket of popcorn was $20.00.  YEP!  I smuggled in goodies, though...shhhhhhh!  Don't tell!!!  Am I a cheapskate or what????!!!!

Isn’t it crazy what you pay to see a movie. One place we go is $11.50 for a matinee. Another is $9. For the matinee. I think the popcorn I’d like 15. So a movie with popcorn and a drink is $50. Crazy, crazy, glad I don’t have a family! I smuggle in my bottle of water and candy. My husband buys popcorn.

Beautiful sampler quilt you have there. Rosie is so much better than Vanna White to show off your quilt. Give her a big hug for me; she earned it. We have Labor Day too today and I was able to sew too. Win-win.
We don't go to movies anymore. With the boys (who are always hungry) it costs us a mortgage payment for a movie of two hours. It's just ridiculous. Don't know why, but I am suddenly hungry for popcorn. ;^)

All your blocks are beautiful, and will make a fantastic quilt! $20 for a bucket of popcorn is movie robbery! Glad you enjoyed the film. ---"Love"

I can never get DH to go to movies. For $20, that bucket should have a 5-gallon bucket!!

Your quilt is looking really good, but Rosie wins the prize for cuteness.
We usually only go to a couple of movies a year, and we never get any of the treats. It may seem odd, but the "luxury seats" they have in theaters these days are so much more uncomfortable for my back than the old theater seats were.
My brother and his wife go to a movie almost every week, and they bring home the huge bucket of popcorn and nibble on it for days.
I think you are smart to bring your own goodies--there isn't much at a theater that I want to eat.:)

Lovely quilt and adorable Rosie :-) Your quilt blocks are sweet and must be so fun to make. Thanks for the heads up about the popcorn! We're headed to see Downton Abby in a couple of weeks. Good to know I won't be tempted and I can save the calories. That is a crazy price!

Precious pup, fun sampler! I sewed all morning, but now I’m in a slump. It’s always good to check in with you for motivation!

Rosie is a cutie, for sure. After seeing your blocks, makes me want to make sampler quilt. You're doing a great job. As for $20 for popcorn reminds me why I don't go to the movies anymore. Thanks for sharing.

And we think about the $2.99 or $3.99 to rent a movie off of Prime - LOL
You are not the only one who accidentally leaves a snack in their purse!

Love your quilt - very very nice! Hugs

I always smuggle in goodies. Way too expensive at the theater.

A finish

Hi everyone!  I have been kind of obsessed about finishing this jacket.  I used a lot of scraps!!!  Above you can see the large, angled patc...
