A Quilting and Nursing blog!!
Same here. I'm clueless and I'm not alone. If you find out, let us all know.
I went and looked, and there were several that I didn't receive email notices for. But some have been coming through, so something is definitely up.
I haven't blogged,in so long I'm totally out of the loop when it comes to comments. I love reading your blog, tho. Just so you know.. :-)
I looked at Google help forum and yes, it is a problem. Hopefully they will fix it soon.
I haven't posted recently so I don't expect any comments. But I wonder if it's something Google/Blogger has done to be compliant with E.U.'s GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which went into effect on Friday, May 25. I don't know but if you find out I hope you'll tell us!
I had a notice on my Blogger Post page that they've made some changes so I clicked on the link. It took me to a page that was written in English but it was over my head in what they were talking about.
Definitely things are changing! Reminds me of when APQ closed down all our blogs there. If any of you want to print your blogs, you might ought to get it done just in case they start deleting or something. --- Just saying ---- I had caught up printing mine (except my last one) when someone mentioned it on their blog. I got the last one printed tonight, but it didn't work the same way as before. Looks like we're headed for a mess to me; hope I'm wrong. ---"Love"
Blogger posted an update about changes that will be occurring, one of which is that they will no longer allow OpenID users (Google wanting more sign ups to them?). Lots of changes on the way. I use Bloglovin to follow blogs and see followers there. But not comments.
I haven't received comments via email for nearly a week. It looks like it is a widespread problem with Blogger rather than with individual blogs, so there is nothing we can do but wait and see if it will be fixed.
I hope it gets fixed and soon. I am not used to having to go to my blog to see comments and then finding a way to reply.
It has al to do with the new privacy law in Europe, just as Nancy said. I think they had to stop sending bloggers email notifications, because with the notification they also include the email address and name of the responder, without knowing what you will do with this. As if you would sell the info for commercial gain.
I hope it gets fixed soon. I've been having trouble leaving comments for some time now. One browser won't recognize my login and another just won't work with any blog. I have taken to sending private emails if I can just to let the blogger know I'm still reading and enjoying even if I can't leave a comment. On my own blog, I don't often get a lot of comments but there are none after my last post even though I see it has been read a lot. My friend told me she left a comment but there is no sign of it. :-(
