Low volume strings

I have been organizing, and with that, comes many new ideas!  One of the ideas was to make a low volume quilt, which was on my list for this year. A variable strip size, wonky, 1/4 square log cabin quilt was on my list, too!  So...TADA!!  The two ideas are becoming the above quilt!  Kind of fun, so far, to pull out the next string in the bag and GO WITH IT!!
These little blocks are 3 inches finished, and can be found on Betsy's blog, below, throughout the last several posts.

I hope each of you has a wonderful Father's day!  My dad is up in heaven...Happy Father's day, daddy!!

Lovely low volume string blocks! Could you do me a favour? I want to see a picture of your finished Dear Jane. It is such a job to find it on your blog...

Time to add a search engine to your blog! You have made so many beautiful quilts, I've also scrolled through a few times to take a second, and third, look at something! And your low volume quilt will be another fantastic finish that I'll more than like want to reference more than once for inspiration! XO

KaHolly, how do I add a search engine??

You will definitely enjoy making that low volume quilt top. I do that when the low volume scraps start to over flow their boxes and I've loved all 3 quilts that have come from that overflow. If you use Blogger, you can add a search box using their widgets.

Lovely projects, as usual. I especially like the neutral (low volume) blocks.

I like low volume quilts very much but do not have a lot of that type fabric in my stash. Your blocks would make a good quilt to applique some flowers onto.

You are always full of great ideas and unlike me you put them to action!

I haven't got any really fun low volume fabrics but see many at the shops. Have fun with yours! Three inch finished?? Tiny and cute.

I really like your red blocks. Your low volume blocks will make a pretty quilt too, one that could be used in almost any setting. ---"Love"

Low volume quilts are all the rage at the moment aren't they, they do have a certain appeal....

I love Betsy's little blocks. They are so cute--and tempting.
Low volume is a big switch from the usual, color-loaded scrap quilts you typically make. They are pretty blocks, but do you think you will get tired of the lack of color?
I thought all "blogger" blogs automatically had a search window at the very top left-hand corner of the blog. I have never "added" that to my blog, but it is there. I just used the one on your blog and put in a search for Dear Jane. It brought up multiple posts where you have shared your progress.

I don't think I get the complete blog post for Julie's Blog. I can/t find the search window. I am not very blog savvy? Just love her blog and enjoy what she posts.

Love the low volume and the 3" blocks. I went to Betsy's blog and had a quick look. I'm going to check it again later and try to subscribe. Thanks for the link!

3" blocks? You are going tiny. Love the low volumn string blocks. Variety is the spice in quiltmaking!

Lovely log cabins, Julie. It will be interesting to see what you do with them. Love those little 3" blocks.

Hexies, rainbow quilts and plaids!

Good morning to all!!!  Above is a hexagon, for English paper piecing.  My kitten Lucky has discovered them, and decided that they are great...
