The next focus!!

Twinkling!  These stars are twinkling stars!  I have lots of the colorful ones made, and I decided to make opposite blocks, to go between.  These are 6 inch finished, and they are my next focus project.
I am trying to make progress with these, but sure enough, the minute I pulled them out, my focus vanished on the first project, and I accomplished little on either.   So the first project is where I am going to concentrate my energies next!!

*********************The next Bonnie Mystery*************************

My question for you...are you doing the next Quiltville mystery quilt?  The colors were revealed on Bonnie's blog today...see HERE!!    Sounds intriguing, doesn't it??

Have a great day, everyone!!

Julie

It is hard to focus on one project when so many call to you.

I love the way you are reversing the values on the stars, Julie. Very cool idea!
Oh, to learn to stay focused. Whoever can bottle that and sell it will be rich! : )

I flit around to projects all the time. I need to try your focus and maybe actually finish something! Both of yours are great quilts, easy to see why you want to work on both! :)

LOL, yes, even though I have to buy a bit of fabric. I've tried being on a fabric diet and I've slipped just a little. Saving the money for my cos-play (read costumes) for next years Dragoncon. Mary Ann

I am a project bouncer too, but as long as I finish something now and then... I am happy :)
I will do the mystery for sure, but will likely change up the colours.

I love both your projects. I can see the dilemma would be to choose which one to work on. They're both beautiful.

I've been having trouble focusing too! Yes, I plan to do Bonnie's mystery...not sure if I'll switch up the colors since I don't have a lot of "stash" in the colors she's chosen. :/

Yes absolutely doing Bonnie's quilt, I do them every time! I'm like you, several projects going on at once. I can't help it!

Love your quilts. Both are so lovely and scrappy yummy! I am in trouble when I have many projects on the go. I forget where I was going with them. (I know something's wrong with me.) I see Quilter Kathy who post about a different project each day and I am floored!! I have one sewing project accompanid by a leader/ender project and one hand sewing project in progress. That's it. That's all my brain can manage. BUT ... I am working at getting better LOL.

Every fall, I swear that I'm going to participate in Bonnie's mystery, but every fall I find myself in the middle of so many other projects that I just don't have time to do Bonnie's. And that's the case this fall. :-( One of these days.

Ahh the twinkler's call to you, don't they? They make you happy just to gaze at them! Those split 9's are lovely , too!

I love those twinkling stars, I still need to make a star quilt of some kind.

I like to bounce around on projects, one with handsewing, one online, one that catches my fancy to try a new technique and of course Bonnie's mystery every year. I did not finish last years but I will :0) Twice I made two of her mysteries at the same time
one for each of my kids in different
colorways. Have you made one?
It is good free fun

Happy Sewing

Looking good!! I love making scrappy stars. Just finished a star quilt for my great niece! I like how you made opposite blocks. Very effective!

Your projects are always so inspiring! I love that you did the opposite colorway on the stars...such a great idea! Yes, I'm doing the next mystery...might switch up the colors though, just because I don't have many of what she's using. We'll see!

I'm drawn to your zig zag scrappy quilt. My attention always wanes before the project is finished. Eventually, I come back to it. Would love to see this one done!

Your twinkling stars are super cute!

I considered doing the mystery, for about 1 minute! I want to work on my projects now that the weather is cooling and days are getting shorter.

I really like your twinkling stars. I love the bright colours!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
