Are you doing Bonnie's mystery??!

Well, are you?  I am still deciding what colors to use in Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville mystery!!  I need to shake a leg, don't you think??  Mean while, I am in a tiny piecing mood....above are 3 inch churn dash blocks.
 Two inch bow ties...
And 4 inch baskets!!  Need to trim that dog ear and threads!

I have decided to piece 30 minutes each night before bed.  I can finish two baskets, five bowties, and two  churn dashes in that time.  In a years time, I could have three quilts worth of tiny blocks!!

Back to the mystery...I just do not have very many orange fabrics at all....and very, very few yellows.  So, I am still pondering what colors to use.  I am sure it will come to me!!!  I love the first clue!!

Have a wonderful day, each of you!!

Julie

I have only missed one Bonnie mystery and that was last year when I was moving. I decided to go with Christmas colors this time because I don't have a special Christmas quilt for my bed....and I think I am going to be doing the Kind size so it will be nice and cozy for my queen sized bed. Also ordered wool batting for it :0). come on you know you want to sew along :0).
I am also doing a mini 2 inch star block, I have all the bits made for the quilt now just have to put it together ...it's the Temecula " Count down to Christmas" sew along.

Happy Sewing

I just can't bring myself to ever do them while they are still a mystery--and haven't finished the other two I have started. I'll have to wait and see on this one.
Love all of the tiny stuff--you know I do!
I have your plaid pineapple ready to go!

Bonnie's mysteries are always fun, but I'm going to sit this one out. I am, however, going to locate my Tri Recs rulers that I've never learned to use and watch her video to finally learn to use them! I will no doubt succumb to temptation and join in this mystery later this winter when I see how neat everyone's quilt is. Looking forward to seeing your choices!

Yes, first mystery I've ever done. I am a control freak when it comes to my quilts, so we'll see how long this lasts. I pulled fabrics in the colors she showed, but probably do not have enough pulled yet. Since it's scrappy, I'm not worried about that part at all. I have a few of Clue 1 done.

Love your tiny blocks!

I'm not doing the mystery. I haven't done any quilting in quite a few years. I've been looking at quilts/quilt patterns trying to decide which one to make. I need to make my son and grandson one.

I am doing my first Bonnie mystery this year. I have collected the clues for the last 3 years! It was time I actually did the mystery while it was still a mystery! I have been using my GO cutter to cut the triangles in a square. It is highly addicting! I have cut way too many neutrals so far but that is okay. I wanted variety. I am now cutting the blues and will start on orange triangles too. I don't have a lot of all the colors either but you don't need a lot just variety. I bought some greens today since I don't have any in the color she showed on the paint card. I am having fun so far. Need to get on to sewing soon! :-) Jump in and see how it goes. You can get a lot of triangles from one 3 1/2 " strip. I bought some of the 108 " wide fabric from Joann's for my neutral triangles. It made a lot from just one cut. So get on the wagon and join us! I am doing the mystery. I have never done one and I challenged myself to use only stash. It has been a rocky start> First was the wrong ruler, so I ran out on Black Friday afternoon to get the right one. Then my machine started messing up and I discovered Monday that nothing can be done. Plus I work fulltime and had to work over Monday, thus with all this I only have about 1/2 of them done.

Yes I'm in! My second Bonnie mystery. I wanted to use what I had and the only choice I had was to use repros. So far the fabric I've pulled out looks great. I love your little blocks.

I'm doing tiny piecing too -- have started Bonnie Hunter's "Perkiomen Daydreams" which will ultimately have 10,000 little squares. First two blocks are done. :)

Love your tiny blocks! Sometimes I get in a "tiny piecing mood" too... so much fun!
No rush on the mystery... it's posted for a long time.

I am still pondering mine too. Not helped by the fact that my fabrics are in the cold attic and I am just coming off a cold.

Your tiny piecing is so tiny and so sweet. The baskets are lovely.

I've only ever done one mystery quilt.....done by a local gal. I do love the finished mystery quilts I've seen from folks who follow Bonnie and I'm sure yours will look lovely (once you pick your fabrics and get started, of course)!!! What a good idea you have with 30 minutes of piecing daily.

No, I am not doing the mystery quilt. I have not done any of them. I don't have a lot of luck with them. I always think that someone else's fabric choices are better than mine. I like to wait to the end and see what the quilt looks like, then make a decision.

I am not starting the mystery yet. I have the same problem as you do...not able to come up with colors. AND I still have last year's mystery not completed!

Lots of things going on!

Good morning, or evening to you!!!  I have been sewing pouches of different sizes, and I enjoy filling them with different things and giftin...
