So glad this is out of the closet and finished! I am going to keep the simple border, just so all the piecing does not ravel. Lots of little pieces in this one, I love using up part of my tiny pieces! It is now big enough to cover a person up, not so small as before.
I am making a few Honey Bee blocks. I have twelve of them planned. These are made from my nine patch swap blocks that I participated in a couple years ago.
A favorite block! Of course...it is pink!!
Have a great day, everyone!!

Jewel Box is gorgeous. I love all those pieces and colors.
I really like the looks of this. Do you know where I can get the pattern? Thanks for sharing.
Wow! With those smaller blocks the size of the quilt is deceptive. Seems like it should be huge!
Honeybee is a very cute block. Are you doing applique by machine or hand. Maybe if I enlarged the photo I would be able to tell--but I didn't. : )
Another spectacular Julie quilt!
Love your jewel box. The honey bees are so cute!
I just found your blog Julie, and I'm enjoying looking at all your quilts. Your Jewel Box is gorgeous! I'm so glad you are finishing it.
Great finish. I like the honey bee blocks, a nice way to spruce up the nine patches.
Your finish looks fantastic. And I like your new blocks, too.

Congrats on your finish and a lovely finish it is. I am like you in that I love scrappy and seeing all the different fabrics coming together. Your honeybee blocks are grrreat!
Lovely Jewel Box, glad you kept the border simple & narrow.
I have said it before but I will say it again. I love your jewel quilt!
Every time I visit your blog I am riveted by your header quilt. I just ordered the book so I can have one of my very own.
The Jewel Box is gorgeous, Julie, and the Honeybee is a favorite block, although I forget about it. These look so sweet. :P
I like the red borders on your Jewel Box. What a wonderful idea to make Honey Bee blocks from your 9 patch exchange. I never would have thought of it. Thirty some years ago when I took a beginning quilting class that was the block they used. When ever I see this block it brings back such fond memories. Thanks so much for sharing!
Love your honey bees :-)
Love teh jewel box. Yes, the red border is perfect for these blocks. Gary's grandmother gave us a honey bee quilt for our wedding. Your blocks are lovely! Have a terrific day!
Great scrap quilt! and you honey bee blocks are so fun! hooray for pink
Loving everything I'm seeing! Those Honey bee blocks are very cute and my fav is the red one!
The jewel box has turned out very well, and yes I agree that small red border frames it without being overpowering!! What a great way of using up those 9-patch blocks, these blocks will make up very nicely!!!!
The honey bee blocks are adorable!!
I love the bigger jewel box quilt.I think a simple border is all it needs.
The Jewel Box is beautiful! Nice work to rescue it from the closet and give it the attention it deserves. The honey bees are cute, I had never seen them before.
Hello Julie, I love your Honeybee blocks....the Jewel Quilt is stunning and I like the simplicity of the border...hugs lyn
Congratulations on a great finish! I love the Jewel Box pattern, and my favorite version of it is scrappy - just like yours! Your honeybee blocks are going to be so cute :*)
