Good morning!

Good morning to everyone!  February is purple month, at least in the Rainbow Challenge!!  I am continuing to make baskets to add to my basket stash...perhaps I will have enough for a big quilt someday!   I am linking to So Scrappy for Angela's rainbow challenge, using a different color scraps each month to make...something!!   Lots of marvelous ideas there.   Thank you for being a marvelous hostess!

February in the cardiac nursing world where I live is "Go Red" for heart health...woman's heart health month.
More Garden blocks!  This is a block of the month I am doing through a local quilt shop, the Cabbage Rose.  These are laser cut pieces, already backed with fusible web...how spoiled is that?  I love it...the fun is all there, and very little prep work.  Just fun sewing...Yahoo!
Plugging away at the plaids!  I am kind of at a stop, until I cut some more plaid strings, which I can do, just haven't yet!!

I am planning laundry, cleaning, laundry, straightening, laundry,  and a little more sewing before preparing dinner tonight.  Later I might do some more laundry. Hehe...maybe the laundry pile is kind of high around here, LOL!   I was on at work for a six day stretch again, maybe I should rethink that? I was just totally wiped out last night!!  Am I getting too old for six 13-14 hours days in a row in charge?  So glad for some rest days...

You, each of you...I wish you a really good day with lots of happiness!

Sweet little baskets--I assume they are small since you like little blocks :) Pretty applique and fun plaid strings. As I've previously noted, laundry is not playing with fabric, even though fabric is involved. Wow, six 13-14 hour days in a row? Who wouldn't be wiped out!

Pretty purple baskets! That will make a fun quilt to have the baskets in a rainbow of colors.
Maybe I would do applique if someone did all the prep work for me. : )
Love the strings plaids. When I get enough of them leftover from my plaid projects I will send them your way.

cuper cute little purple baskets. I'm also loving the hand quilting on the churn dash, very cute. And those pre prepped appliques, it doesn't get any better than that!

Gorgous baskets. Very keen to check out the colour idea on link, as I love colour coordinating my quilting work! Hmm can someone else in your house get a licence to drive the washing machine? Our washing machine belonged to DH before we were married....so he is an expert at using it...but I just tend ask him to bring it in off the line when I am working!

LOVE your goodies in the previous post, girl. You know I'm mad for plaid too---so glad you pulled that Churn Dash out and started quilting it. :D I adore your baskets---February is the perfect month for purple---I have a birthday coming up this month too so I've always been in love with PURPLE :D

Egad! I'm a semi-retired Animal Control Officer and I can't keep up with your quilting schedule. You are so productive! My personal favorite is the little plaid rails. I may need to copycat that idea it's so cool.

Your garden blocks are great - if someone else did all the prep, I might actually try my hand at something like that.

Hope you can rearrange your schedule for some time to recharge.

Love the applique. I live in the Atlanta area and have several quilt shops near by, but I always try to stop by Cabbage Rose when I'm in FW. It's a great shop. It's amazing how much you get done. Wish I could get half as much done :)

Julie.....unless you are 22, you should not have to work 6 days straight of 13-14 hours shifts! Cripes! That's just ridiculous! I don't know how you are actually still standing after that!....much less, doing laundry! Sheesh! I just hope this routine will not continue much longer! You need a nice long break, with lots of stitching and cups of tea! I'll be wishing it for you!

Your little purple baskets are cute as can be & 6 X 13-14 hours shift - too much!

I don't think you are too old, but sometimes I feel old reading all that you do! As usual there isn't one scrap/project I don't like on your blog! Right time for my nanna nap!!! :-))

If you aren't too old now, you soon will be, as that is a KILLER schedule! Can you not rearrange it? Two is my limit now. I did four out of five days last month and it took a full two days to recover, with lots of naps and weird night sleeps. And when I WAS awake, I sat around like a sack of potatos. Not doing that again--what a waste of offdays!

Oh, you are so good for me! The 50-60 hour work weeks are getting me down, and I feel uplifted by your cheerful outlook and amazing ability to borrow minutes from each busy day to create gorgeous quilts. Thank you!

Garden blocks are looking gorgeous! I love your purple baskets! Hope your having a most very great day!

I'm off for a bum knee. I twisted it the wrong way at work. Ow! Guess I'm going to get in some quilting time. Amy's quilt is done except for the binding, so I'll work on that today. Then I'm fixing to start an Japanese themed quilt for Susan, my oldest girl. This I'm looking forward too. I have some of the blocks planned out already, and it will remind me of my mom!
