Jewel Box finished

So glad this is out of the closet and finished!  I am going to keep the simple border, just so all the piecing does not ravel.  Lots of little pieces in this one, I love using up part of my tiny pieces!  It is now big enough to cover a person up, not so small as before.
I am making a few Honey Bee blocks.  I have twelve of them planned.  These are made from my nine patch swap blocks that I participated in a couple years ago.
A favorite block!  Of course...it is pink!!

Have a great day, everyone!!

Julie

I really like the looks of this. Do you know where I can get the pattern? Thanks for sharing.

Wow! With those smaller blocks the size of the quilt is deceptive. Seems like it should be huge!
Honeybee is a very cute block. Are you doing applique by machine or hand. Maybe if I enlarged the photo I would be able to tell--but I didn't. : )

I have said it before but I will say it again. I love your jewel quilt!

Every time I visit your blog I am riveted by your header quilt. I just ordered the book so I can have one of my very own.

The Jewel Box is gorgeous, Julie, and the Honeybee is a favorite block, although I forget about it. These look so sweet. :P

I like the red borders on your Jewel Box. What a wonderful idea to make Honey Bee blocks from your 9 patch exchange. I never would have thought of it. Thirty some years ago when I took a beginning quilting class that was the block they used. When ever I see this block it brings back such fond memories. Thanks so much for sharing!

The jewel box has turned out very well, and yes I agree that small red border frames it without being overpowering!! What a great way of using up those 9-patch blocks, these blocks will make up very nicely!!!!
