Love, love, love that sashing!
This is going to be one gorgeous quilt!
For goodness sake, Julie, there you go raising the bar again. You are going to have to publish a book soon with all your string quilt ideas! I can hardly wait to see how this one grows up.
Love that applique sashing, such a lovely idea, it softens the string blocks, this is going to look fabulous!!!!
The applique sashing really jazzes up the string blocks. Good idea.
how many string quilts can a girl make that look different......you never cease to amaze me.......
*love* the appliqued sashing! I've made many a string block before but never thought to pair it with your kind of sashing.
The result is just stunning!
Very cute!
Sorry that it hasn't worked that well for me. : )
Lovin' that sashing--and I'm glad it is you doing it and not me! But then it will never be mine if I don't do it. Maybe I need to rethink that.
That's going to be a great quilt!
Too cute. I love it!!!!!
I love those vines! :0)
love the leaves made from strings. That will take a long time, if done by hand, but will be well worth it! good luck!
I can't believe how many strings you have a available to design with. The appliqué lattice is really going to be stunning.
I'm going out to buy a giant bar of soap! LOL
This applique in the sashing is awesome! I love it! Sweet sweet sweet! And yeah.....Dove soap.....every day! My mom looks like about 68.....and she's 92! I've been doing the same for 20 years....I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Please excuse me if I have said this before.....but I LOVE YOUR QUILTS!!!!!
I love the scrappiness & creativity!
Thank you.
P.S I recognise a few of the fabrics!
Great idea. This will look bright, happy and colourful.
Very innovative! Love it.
Somehow I think it would take more than soap and water for me LOL!!! Your applique sashing is gorgeous - way to go! It is going to make a wonderful string quilt!
Where's the facial soap?! lol
Love the added applique on your string quilt!!
When I first read your blog I was wowed by the string quilt in your title. The appliqué looks really great on the sashing - I feel inspired nowi
Probably good genes too :) Loving the sashing for those string blocks Julie and the little black squares in the corner stones mmmmmmmm!!!
Oh, Julie, the applique is darling and looks so great with the string blocks! You get so darn much done and are so creative! Wow, soap - who knew?!
WOW, O WOW! Is going to be gorgeous when done. LOVE the stringy blossoms on the vine!! You are so creative and resourceful! Perfect example of "Waste not, want not". Using it all even the tiny pieces!
Could be the living by herself part too!! My husband tries to give me wrinkles (they would show if I was skinny)!! Love your blocks with the applique sashing--really changes the look from just the plain sashing. A lot of small scraps could be used in those little blossoms--great idea.
Yup echo the book request or at least a pattern!
Brilliant fancy strings! I love the string buds particularly! Where next I wonder!??
Julie,
This string quilt is gorgeous!! Love the scrapy applique you're doing.

And here I thought that you could not top the gorgeous plaid string quilt in your header! Wow, girl!
