Hi everyone! I have been secretly...well, probably not so secretly, cutting a bow tie out of every tiny scrap I have, or come across! I have tons cut out...so tonight? I decided that the fun MUST begin! I made a few bow tie blocks...and it was such fun! I think I may need a bazillion to make a bed sized quilt, so how many is a bazillion, anyway?? I could arrange the blocks this way...
or this way!
Here is one of the boxes I have filled with cut out bow ties pieces. I have two more bigger boxes full. I even have some from my friend Joan! Really, how many will I need? Each block finishes at 3 inches...it boggles the mind to think of all the fabric variety!
Have a great day, all!!

You need to see this blog. http://www.maryelizabethkinch.com/spa-society/
I think your quilt will qualify! Have fun with this one.
Nice bows!!
Bow ties are fun to play with in arrangements--so many different ones to do. Bazillion is definitely how many you would need at 3" finished. Yowza!
Looks like another amazing scrap quilt in development!
What fun, Julie! Do you have enough of that same background fabric for a bazillion? : )
Definitely need a bazillion cutie little bowties! Are you repeating fabrics, or going for each bowtie to be a different fabric? They do have such fun ways to set them...can't wait to see what you choose!
Ooodles of fabric scraps and tiny blocks ... I can tell you're having fun :)
You just amaze me!!
Love the bowties! They work for leaders and enders too!
I have a bazillion bow tie blocks done and more fabric cut for half a bazillion more! One of these days I need to figure out how many I really need to make a good sized quilt!
You can never make too many bowties. I've been making them for years and cannot get my fill!
Enough is enough...you'll know when you hit it!! :o)LOVE BOWTIES!!
P
The bow ties are so much fun! Love your pink strings quilt, too.
Bow ties are one my most favorite patterns! I've done them in about every size there is(not necessarily enough for a quilt of each size). I've done 12.5"(really clunky) down to about the size of a quarter(almost a joke!).
I've that you're off and running with them at 3", and yes, you'll need at least a bazillion! Happy bow tie hugs, Finnie XXX
What a great collection.
Bowties are such cute blocks, and a great way to use up all your left-overs! I love the first arrangement, and yes a gazillion would be need to to make a bedsize quilt, but think of how wonderful it will look, just keep going I say...... they look great!!!!!
Bowties are neat blocks. Have fun!
Probably about 800 or so :-). I have boxes cut also, so you are not alone. I find it the perfect pattern for small bits that I can't part with.
