Smaller...and scrappier!!

Hi all! I have been working and my son and his wife were here for the weekend, so I have been a little nutty busy...what's new, right? We had a wonderful time!! Now, for a little quilting time. I have been really enjoying the scraps that Linda and Amy have sent to me...yum! I have cut some of the pieces into 1.5 and 2.5 inch strips, then made the little piece above. I intend for the quilt to be a bed quilt, so I have a lot of scrapping to go, LOL!! The little squares are one inch finished, and the 1/2 square triangles are 2 inch finished. Another Jewel Box! Hurrah!! Can you tell I just love scrap quilting???
I finished my cross stitch BOM...and just love it! I rarely have anything professionally framed, but I think I will have this one framed...I really like it!

Have a wonderful day, each one of you!!

Julie

First of all, your cross stitch BOM came out beautifully and deserves to be professionally framed, despite the cost!! I love your new Jewel Box quilt project, esp. because it is small pieces. I like to piece small, and love scrappy, so it especially appeals to me. Can't wait to see it completed! ~karen

Yes, frame the cross-stitch sampler so you can enjoy it every day.

I admire you for working with such small pieces. Yikes, I'd be blind, insane, or possibly both.

Jewel Box is so colorful! Love it. And your cross stitching is fabulous. Great job! I love the little red border all around it. I'd have it framed to if it were mine!

Your cross stitched piece is wonderful. WOW...with such tiny pieces, that bed quilt will be a long time in the making AND will weigh very heavy as it will have tons of pieces in it! LOL

And your cross stich embroiderie is great! Cann't you just make a medaillonquilt, with that piece in the middle? I would love that!
Anyway.... enjoy!!!

Love your little scrappie blocks, you have really inspired me to save all my left-over bits!!! the block is very simple and the way they sit together give a great design!!! Also love your little X-stitch, definitely worth framing after all the hours that went into it!!!

Jewell box is perfect for using up scraps! The cross stitch is lovely! so much time involved in stitching it that I agree, it should be professionally framed. Be ready for sticker shock though.

Scrappy is best! What a cute little jewel box :)

I saw you won a carload of fabric from Vicky (LA Quilter), wow!

The cross stitch is adorable! Definitely framed would be suitable. I have a cross stitch I've been waiting to get framed too--those Michael's 50-60% off coupons are great!
