Hi all! It is 9AM...and I drew a winner for the block kits from yesterday. Congratulations to Nancy, of With Thread in Hand. She was randomly drawn to receive the block kits.
How about another giveaway? I need volunteers for this one...people who would commit to making a heart strings quilt top and give it to the Heart Strings group, within the next year. I will give two bags of strings from my strings bin to two different people...but the catch is, you must make a quilt top from the strings and donate it! If you are willing to do this...please let me know, and I will give the bags of strings to two people...and will draw tomorrow at 9AM. I will give you the contact info for the Heart Strings group if you are drawn.
Thank you for your generosity of heart...I hope I get lots of responses to this giveaway!!! I understand if you have too many projects going...but this is such a great, worthwhile organization...lets help them!!

Count me it! I have wanted to do that for a while and this is the perfect way to make sure I do. I definitely can fit it in within the next year. Hopefully sooner than later!
What an awsome idea! Count me in. I've heard of Heartstrings but have never donated to them - about time I changed that!
I have Heartstrings bookmarked and I know they still accept string blocks (made to their guidelines...which are on their webpage) and then they will make them into quilts. I would be more than happy to do that...make several blocks and send them to the group. I seem not to be able to get tops completed and sandwiched and quilted very successfully, but I can whip out blocks with little problem at all. So...if that would be okay with you, then enter my name, also.
I checked out the Heart Strings site and I surely could make those string blocks.
I have one on the go from retreat this year, so I can add your scraps to this project! Please add me to the draw! And you inspired me to have a draw at my blog!
I had not heard of the Heartstrings project so off I went to check it out. I love string quilts, have lots of strips in my stash and love to donate quilts so this is perfect for me.
I would love to be entered!

What a great giveaway and HeartStrings comes out the winner! Thanks for encouraging people to get involved and helping spread the word.
They came! They came!! I opened the package and LOVE them. Unfortunately, we are packing up all non-essentials and putting our house on the market... Real Estate Agent told me to only leave out a bit of stuff in the sewing room. I hope to get to them after the move...
Thanks so much!!
Nancy
