Bonnie Hunter's Pineapple Blossom pattern is a lovely one that goes together quickly! This has been my insomnia quilt for a few days now, LOL! I made 30, 9 inch blocks...this will be a great size for a hospital bed or wheelchair. Please see the link here:

Bonnie is kind enough to provide many free patterns for all. Thank you, Bonnie!
Yesterday was almost a normal day...I mean pre-covid! I just could not stand it a minute more, and went out and went to the library, which was open! They had me mask, wash my hands with antibiotic wipes before entering, and there was only self check out...but I got to go! I only saw 5 people in the library. I got scrappy quilt books, civil war quilt books, and some modern ones, just for my perusal fun!
Is the library open where you are? We are having a bit of a surge of Corona virus here in Texas.
A blurry picture of some violas...some of my favorite flowers! I think all flowers are my favorite...I just think they are jewels!

Julie your quilt is gorgeous!
Seriously about your library there? Ours has been open for quite a long time (North Richland Hills) and I'm in there fairly often. I pick out what I want, order it online and then walk in, grab off the hold shelf, check out and I'm outta there! I've been going thru old quilt magazines if you'd be interested in them (I could drop them off..just lemme know). Love the quilt; I made one quite a while ago and it IS quick and easy (but your really should be sleeping..HA).
Our library has been closed for weeks miss it.Julie I love violas as well hugs
I made a red version of Pineapple Blossom too—for my MIL’s 90th birthday. It came back to me after she passed away. I haven’t been to the library for years but have a large collection of quilt magazines bought/subscribed to over the years! Cute violas.
very nice pineapple blossom...i made a couple myself...it's a wonderful pattern that lends itself to any colorway...nope library not open but bookmobile does come every 2 weeks so i can get books...if i actually go into the library i come home with way too many...LOL!
I've been thinking about making pineapple blossom quilt but haven't yet. Our library has been open for a couple of months. We still have the option of curbside pickup, as we had prior to reopening. Masks are required for going inside.
Library is open but with limited hours and strict requirements. I haven’t been in the library for months. COVID cases in my small county are rising daily by double digits: I don’t go out much.
Fun new quilt! So sorry the insomnia is still going. Mine has been helped a bit by Melatonin but the early wakeup is still there sometimes. And this morning it was Bob :-) He sleeps in his crate and starts wagging his tail. He is so sweet though. Totally worth it!
Our library is open and working safely much like yours. I went and delivered my ballot and renewed my card at the same time. Oh to be free of this virus!
Our library is "open for online requests only. They sign it out for you and we go in the back door and pick up off the hold shelves ourselves. They keep expanding request options but it's still online only. Sigh...Some day....Nice quilt, by the way!
Those pretty red blocks are going to make a beautiful quilt that will brighten someone's day! I couldn't believe it, but the local paper here showed a picture on the front page of the library staff giving free computer lessons, right there in the library. Of course, everyone had on their masks. I have enough quilt books and probably every quilt magazine I ever bought, so I really don't need to go to the library. I'm safer at home. ---"Love"
When my library first reopened, you could make a reservation for a one hour block of time. Now it's open as usual. We can reserve books online and pick them up at the drive-up window.
it is beautiful! I love the reds - such a pretty one!
Your quilt is wonderful. NICE job. Sorry about the insomnia!
Our library has been open as well and it's a real treat to be able to go inside.
Take care. Stay safe.
Your insomnia quilt is lovely. Wish it was under different circumstances. 😴
I'm usually a scrap quilter, but seeing your one colorway pineapple quilt has changed my mind about that pattern. Beautiful quilt. As for the library, ours is open now, but I still reserve a book and just pick it up at the checkout desk. That's in mid-Ohio. Thanks for sharing.
Your pineapple blossom quilt is just beautiful! Glad you were able to get to the library. Ours is open but services are still limited. I have a feeling we'll be dealing with the Covid situation for a very long time.
All those reds! Pretty.
Yes, the libraries are open here but I haven't been in a long, long time. I don't think they are allowing meetings in their meeting rooms though. I was going to visit an applique group meeting at a library but the month I planned to go was when the shutdown started.
so pleased you went and got some books.....
Libraries open here....but they also have a delivery service for those that need it.....I guess that may have expanded during covid......
I do love pineapple blossom.........I must make a pineapple quilt.......
stay covid safe
Yes, our library is open...I went and renewed my card last week.
I totally forgot to say I love that Pineapple blossom quilt.
Don’t know about the libraries here. Love the pineapple quilt. Violas are the sweetest things.
That will be a great quilt. Not sure if people can go in our libraries. Illinois is pretty locked up. I do know that you can order books and pick them up (not sure how).
Your post is very good and very different. Your post will be very useful for me because I like these articles very much, I am thankful that I found this post.
